Baktu Port belongs to the Tacheng area of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, 12 kilometers away from the center of Tacheng City. The Baktu Port has a history of commerce for 200 years. It covers an area of one square kilometer and is about 480 meters above sea level. It is the border between China and the Republic of Kazakhstan. There is a direct national secondary road, which is the closest port to Xinjiang from the city.
