Chongqing Geleshan Martyrs Cemetery is located in Shapingba District, Chongqing. In 1939, the Kuomintang Army and Unity Bureau used heavy gold to buy the former Sichuan warlord Bai Xuan's suburban villa in Geleshan Bai Mansion, occupy the Zhaqidong coal kiln, and convert it to a prison, and also set up many secret cells here to form a large-scale secret concentration camp. Here have imprisoned patriotic general Yang Hucheng, the New Fourth Army army Chang Ye Ting, the famous Communists Luo Shiwen, Che Yaoxian, Chen Ran, Jiang Zhuyu, etc. On November 27, 1949, on the eve of the liberation of Chongqing, the Kuomintang Army and Unity Bureau created a horrific massacre here, and more than 300 revolutionaries hated guns and died.
