Qingdao, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, is a small island on the south coast of Japan. It has a circumference of 1.5 kilometers and more than 200 subtropical plants. There is a Subtropical Botanical Garden on the island and a shrine in Qingdao. Because of the name, it has also formed a friendly city with Qingdao in Shandong Province, China. The coastal rocks near Qingdao have been impacted and eroded by strong waves for a long time, forming some staircase-shaped ripples, which is a peculiar natural phenomenon of hydrous rocks. The trenches on the boulders stretch straight into the distance, looking like a laundry board, while Qingdao is in the middle of the laundry board, like a pile of laundry to be washed. This is Qingdao's most peculiar landscape, known as the "ghost laundry board".
