Albergo Hotel Fontana Review

This is a hotel called the Fontana Hotel. It overlooks the Trevi Fountain and the thousands of tourists that spend all day soaking up the atmosphere. The hotel's restaurant is on the top floor and breakfast is included in the rates. In October 2012 our window opened right onto the fountain and I just sat there loving every moment for hours on end! Finally at 2-3am the place emptied out and we were able to wander around the fountain on our own. The only other person there was the passing milkman, or police vehicle. My wife and I literally had the place literally to ourselves. We sat on the steps and chatted, then walked around the fountain. The place dead quiet apart from our voices! A wonderful memory we will treasure forever... Next morning the cleaners turned up and vacuumed all the coins, which apparently are given to a local charity. It was the best few hundred dollars we ever spent on a hotel!
