This time I visited Matsuyama on a solo trip and stayed at Tokyu REI, who was taken care of in Okinawa. Matsuyama Castle and the shopping street on the Okaido are also nearby, so it is in a very good location. I was very happy to respond comfortably when I made a request for the room at the time of booking. Thanks to that, I was looking forward to check-in and was actually impressed with the room as requested. I think it was tough during the prosperity period, but thanks to your selfishness this time, I was able to make a very memorable trip. And I would like to use it when I visit Matsuyama again. This hotel offers a distinctly international experience, with staff fluent in both Chinese and English. Parking is available for 1200 yen, with an automatic parking tower conveniently located next to the hotel. Friendly staff are on hand to assist with parking. Just simply drive your car into the designated slot, and they will handle the rest, automatically transporting it to an upper floor. What's more, the parking fee includes unlimited access, so there's no need to worry about being charged multiple times when going out for dinner or exploring the area. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer nothing to complain about. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Located in a place facing Hanazono Cho Dori street for a few minutes walk from Matsuyama city station. Check-in is self-responsive using the machine, I don't know the screen operation if I am not used to it, and after all, check-in while listening to the hotel staff how to operate, and the staff politely taught me... The breakfast space on the first floor was a library cafe from day to night, and coffee and lemon water were free, and the library shelf was like Matsuyama, and the book of clouds on the slope was free. There is no public bath in the hotel, so you can go to Dogo Onsen by iyo iron for 20 minutes and 170 yen, so I wonder if I avoided competition without being sold by the hotel... I was able to spend comfortably in a new and beautiful hotel. This time I left early in the morning, so I couldn't get a free breakfast.

We stayed for 2 nights in Standard Twin. It was a parking view, but it was very clean, including the bathroom, although it was not large, and the USB port on the bedside was convenient for charging the smartphone. Also, the amenities dripping coffee and empty refrigerator were good. The room had slippers and snow dags, and I liked the beach sandals, and I was comfortable with snow dags that were not resistant to walking outside. The public bath on the top floor was healed with a clean open-air bath with a good view. I went to 6:00 for two days from 6:00 in the morning, but I think it was good to open a little earlier because it was quite crowded. Breakfast was the same for two days, but there were so many original options that I never got tired. Uwajima slices, tofu and French toast were especially delicious and I ate too much every morning. Access from the city is good and if you have the opportunity to stay at Dogo Onsen, I would like to choose it next time.

I booked in Agoda and stayed for 8 nights and 9 days for 3200 yen per night. When I stayed last year, it was about 4000 yen per night, so the influence of the corona seems to be large. The advantage is that it is still a cospa. The hotel facilities are in the year, but the cleaning was well done and the front desk was polite and good. As a disadvantage, is it the year of the hotel facilities? Although there is no inconvenience, the oldness is undeniable. Then, the breakfast is a bit high. I paid extra because it was a night stay plan. I ate a lick and a potato heaven, but I thought it was a little high. As a location, there are many convenience stores around, so there is no problem with a little shopping. The supermarket was about 15 minutes walk to the Dogo Onsen area. Don Quixote was also about 10 minutes walk. It is about 5 minutes walk to the big road of the shopping street, and there are many taverns and bars until then. The restaurant was closed or closed at 20 o'clock in the corona, so there was no chance to use the drinker very much. Then get off at the airport bus Okaido station and walk 10 minutes from there. You have to cross the main street, so if you have a big suitcase, taxi may be easier. I also want to stay if I have a chance to stay in Matsuyama.

The bath is not too narrow for one person and is not too wide. The cleaning is well done and there are one thing that you don't need. There are two tea packs, but I thought it would be good to have a tea pack in the lobby. This room was a good feeling to look up Matsuyama Jo castle from the bed. It was surprising that the early morning alarm was heard from the next room early in the morning, but the other was comfortable. The staff is also good and I would like to use it again.

Sunroot Matsuyama, honestly, has a deterioration of age. Right next door to Okaido shopping gallery with restaurants, convenience stores etc. Chose this hotel because of photos of the Skyspa - on top floor of hotel, indoor & outdoor. Especially great at night sitting in the outdoor spa looking at the city lights. Friendly staff, helpful. Beautiful, modern hotel. Easily accessible by tram from JR Matsuyama heading for Dogo Onsen. And as with many places in Japan where little Englsih is spoken - please be patient and polite

Very disappointed to be writing this review... Firstly, their website is dreadfully dated and their booking system puzzling, even comically so. It almost feels like using the Wayback Machine... I tried booking five or six months in advance and so I wrote to the hotel to express my excitement for both coming back to Imabari where I once lived and worked teaching English in 1999, and also that I had always wanted to stay at the hotel, as I actually lived directly across the road from the hotel and always thought it so exclusive and luxurious-looking, and it was the talk-of-the-town back in '99 when they were still very new. I was willing to pay a substantial room rate for a Tatami Suite (approx. ¥30,000 per night for three nights) however was advised that they were sold-out for my desired dates-of-stay in March 2023. What irked me is that no alternative accommodation options were offered, despite there still being availability on third-party websites such as *********** and ******* for other room types, and there was no acknowledgment of my excitement and enthusiasm for wanting to be a guest of theirs' after so many years, or for any disappointment caused. This is terrible service, and not exactly what one would call 'growing the business' to reject a potential guest despite having other rooms and suites available to sell. We instead booked ourselves a washitsu (traditional Japanese tatami room) at Hotel Kikusui Imabari down by the port, which was cute, comfortable, clean, and looks to have had recently had a refurbishment of their guestrooms as the bathrooms while small were nice and new. The cost of this room was also about a third of what the Kokusai Imabari Hotel asks for their Tatami Suites as well. I still wanted to go to the Kokusai Imabri Hotel however and at least see their gardens and lobby, pick up some Imbari towels from the official store at the front entrance, and have breakfast in their restaurant. The lobby is very nice and it does have the grandeur of a Japanese hotel trying to be a European hotel without being tacky or dated, and it does appear that they have recently cleaned all the chandeliers (I'd read other reviews and this seems to have been a first impression for a lot of guests, so this was a nice surprise to see them dust-free). We had a look at the gardens outside and they were very nice and maintained as to be expected with Japanese gardens. So why the 1 star review? Well, we wanted to treat ourselves to what we thought would be a five-star breakfast. We were told to go upstairs to the mezzanine level and we met a nice lady staff member who advised that breakfast would be roughly ¥2,400 per person. No problem, that's fair for a good buffet breakfast. We were then however lead into a huge banquet hall with only a couple of dozen guests dining, which made it feel even emptier and more like a school cafeteria rather than a classy restaurant. The hotel's reception area and bar are quite modern with some cute Japanese décor and homewares on shelves. There is also a complimentary 'amenity buffet' so you can pick up some extra soaps, shampoos, bath salts, etc. any time you need them. We had a wa****su (traditional Japanese tatami room) on the 3rd floor that was moderate in size but very clean and looks to have had a recent renovation as the bathroom was very new and modern. Imabari's main shopping street is just a 2 minute walk away with some nice coffee shops and homeware stores. There are also two Poeme stores very closeby where you can buy Imabari's local sweet treat which are perfect with coffee and also as a boxed gift idea too! The nearest convenience store (a Family Mart) is about a 5 minute walk away and Imabari Castle is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel's front entrance and makes for an interesting afternoon and has an excellent 360 degree view from the top. The hotel has bicycles that you can rent for free, however the seats were very uncomfortable and even a little painful (though it might just be me, as I haven't ridden a bicycle in quite a few years and am a big heavy Australian bloke!) Our futons were very comfortable and we had a great nights' sleep and felt very refreshed in the morning. Unfortunately we made the decision to go to the Imabari Kokusai Hotel for breakfast instead of having breakfast at Hotel Kikusui Imabari and we had quite possibly the worst buffet breakfast there. Really regret we didn't just stay and have breakfast in-house, as the food at Kikusui looked to have been far better and at a fraction of the price too! Couldn't fault this hotel and will absolutely stay again on my next visit to my old hometown of Imabari!

Das Hotel ist ganz in Ordnung für eine Nacht. Generell sind die Hotels in Imabari relativ teuer, dieses war okay. Sauberkeit hat auch gepasst, die Zimmer waren halt keine Schönheiten, aber das interessiert nach 76 km Fahrradfahren auch nicht mehr.

As a facility, I felt nostalgic because it was a bath with a rare Yufune and a washroom at this time. How do you say it is Showa? It is located at the end of the north of imabari Ginza, and the location from the station is not good, but imabari Jo castle is right there. The shopping street has been a complete shutter since the entire Shimanami Kaido road, but there are also shops that have a new sense of vacant stores. It may be a good inn for travelers who can apologize for the old good imabari and enjoy the feeling of being sorry. Breakfast is free, hot coffee is free to drink. Well, efforts are being made.

Truly excellent facilities. My friends and I were so impressed. It’s a hostel but you do get private spaces, basically giant cubicles with blinds and curtains to give you some privacy. Facilities were basic, but exceptionally clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well, despite seeming quite busy. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the perfect hostel is still a hostel. You get people talking late into the night keeping you up with their mumbling. You have people snoring. It’s nothing the hostel can really do anything about, but it’s something to bear in mind.

This is a very good hotel. I didn't live in the last time. I made an appointment in advance and stayed with my husband and son. We rode along the island's Bohai Road from Imoji. Due to the hot weather, we set off late and arrived at the hotel 2 hours later than the scheduled time. But the hotel service staff has been in touch with us frequently after receiving our emails and reminding us of the precautions for the night bus route. After arrival, the service staff gave a very warm welcome. The next day was still too hot and sent us to Dodoro Bridge Park. It is a very reassuring hotel that feels like home. The next day we were in the cafe, looking out the window at the sea, sailing, the sun, listening to Posanova's music, everything slowed down. Thank you for a safe and welcoming journey.

(2023/04/04) My recommendation is not to sleep in Omishima if you can avoid it. If you can't avoid it, I recommend you avoid this accommodation. The person who served us did not show any attention. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. There are only two bathrooms and two showers for the 5 rooms between 2 and 4 beds each. The rooms and bathrooms seem clean. The beds are very uncomfortable, the beds/shots are spent. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. It feels like we have been very good at some time, but our experience has not been that for nothing. It's a real pity. 😞

I thought this place was remote and difficult to reach by public transportation. For this reason, I took a small amount of money to take a taxi in and out, and I wanted to give a bad evaluation. But the moment you see the hotel facilities and scenery, everything is no longer important. When the weather is good, the room and restaurant can see the super super beautiful scenery! The sunset and morning light are so beautiful. The meal is superb, you must choose one night, two or three meals, each meal is eaten, and the taste is very good. The room is large and the layout is very good. The only regret is that there is no natural hot spring, otherwise you can really choose to live here for three days.

Convenient for ＪＲ bus use in front of Uwajima station. In fact, I took a ride to the [inn hair line] of the next morning ６ o'clock ３６ minute, but I was able to afford it at the bus stop right in front of me. Also, it was about ３ minutes to the famous shop of the rice rice near the station. The room was not luxurious, but the layout was good and the bed and desk direction were different, so it was easy to use. The range was １ floor and the ice was free at the front desk. What was interesting was that the laundry was in an outdoor parking lot. It was a little old hotel with a rich local color, but the front desk staff was very friendly and hot. I will stay again when I visit again. The price was conscientious with ４, ７００ yen for a night stay.

I actually booked this hotel for a night in late March as I was doing a solo trip around Shikoku. I did not end up staying the night, however I thought my experience might benefit some other travelers. Check-in process was fine and the hotel offers a selection of amenities (razors, towels, soaps, water, etc) at the front desk for no extra charge which is nice although pretty standard for a Japanese business hotel. The room itself seemed fine, however there is no cold air conditioning. For some people it's probably not a big issue to not have cold AC - and to be fair the window in my room did open, however with no screen on it. For me I have a very hard time sleeping if it's too hot or humid in my room so this was a bit of an issue. I called the front desk to confirm that it was a HOT air conditioning only, which it was. I've encountered this once before in Japan and usually I'm pretty careful to confirm in advance because in Japan ”air conditioning” typically seems to mean heat so it can be a bit tricky. In any case, I also asked about a fan for the room but that did not have that. So instead I took a walk around the area and found another hotel down the road that had a vacancy and cold AC. Again, this is a very specific issue but I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who has trouble sleeping in hot/humid conditions. I grew up in the deep south of the US so I'm certainly used to it I just don't enjoy it on my vacation. If this is not an issue for you then this is a fine and very convenient property.

The building is old, but I didn't feel particularly inconvenient. Parking is free and bicycles are free to rent, so it is convenient for sightseeing.
