Our stay at Mercure was nothing but good! great service by the staffs with lots of perks like a free Haagen-daz per day or high tea which comes with (coffee + desserts)!✨ there is a table with 3 types of drinks that is there for us to drink anytime of the day! best part was there is a free laundry room with everything prepared (detergent, netting, laundry bag and even bottles of water while u wait)! There is also a mini gym beside it👌🏼 I'm pretty sure the location can't get any better than this 💯❤️🔥 and as we left on Christmas Eve, they gave all of us a Christmas gift (平安果) after we checked out which was really nice 💗 there's also many food trucks right opposite the hotel which was really yummy! My whole family loved it ❤️🔥 We all had an amazing time there!

This place is perfect for unwinding. It is located 15 minutes away from the main road. The hotel offered free pick up and drop off so the distance to the main area is not really a problem. Very peaceful and has a splendid view from the cabin. The amenities were also impressive. We would have loved to have: 1. A map or guide for more leisure possibilities such as hiking trails around the area. We only were to explore by ourselves by walking down to a beautiful ******* village. 2. More options for breakfast. Compared to other hotels in the same price category, the breakfast is too simple. 3. As the cabin is using smart home technology, a user manual or a short instruction on paper would be helpful. Overall, our stay was relaxing and worth the price.
Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu - MGallery

This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms. Some noteworthy details: - Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort. - The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include: (a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now! (b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room (c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C. (d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold. - Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them. - We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away. - We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2. - Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too. - We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests. Areas of improvement: - Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake. - The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper. - Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor). Thank you Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu! We had a great stay here. Will definitely be back!
Diaoyutai Boutique Hotel Chengdu

Chengdu University of TCM/Kuanzhai Alley nearby area
This hotel is right next to Kuanzhai Alley, opposite the subway station, and it is very convenient to travel. Service: The hotel's service is particularly good. From the concierge to the front desk and the cleaning staff, they will take the initiative to provide help and greet politely. Environment: The room and bathroom are particularly large, with a separate living room and two TVs. Some rooms cannot open the windows and face the internal decorative wall. Facilities: The bedding, toiletries, and water-boiling utensils in the room are very good, and the bed is particularly comfortable. The room comes with a bicycle experience and Kuanzhai Alley treasure hunt (actually, it is to go to several stores to receive gifts), and a mini bar in the room on the first day. There is also a 100 yuan dining voucher (need to register for the official account). Dining: The breakfast is rich, the Chinese and Western combinations are balanced, and the ingredients are very fresh. I had a dinner for more than 200 yuan, with 2 cold dishes, 2 meat dishes, 1 vegetarian dish, and 1 snack. I especially recommend friends who come to Chengdu to stay!

Zhongzha Furrow Luneng Resort
Absolutely gorgeous villa style hotel with great service provided by Eve and her colleagues. Eve was responsive and checked in with us to ensure that we had all we needed for a stay. The housekeeping team was also prompt with our requests. Buggy can take a while to arrive during breakfast peak hours. You could tell that the room heater had been turned on hours pre-arrival to welcome its guests warmly. Room had a beautiful mountain view and the toilets were huge. Though we had some issues with opening and closing the sliding door at the toilet it, wasnt too big an issue. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting jiuzhaigou!

Emeishan Fanxing Mountain House (Huangwan Visitor Center)

Huangwan Town/ Visitor Center of Mount Emei
I wish to do a fair review of my B&B stay at Emeishan. Service was spectacular. 1) The hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off services from Emeishan Station (not to be confused with Emei Station), about 7-8 mins drive from the hotel. I communicated via WeChat which trains I would be on and let them know that my 1st train arrival was actually so that I could drop off my large suitcase at their place, before going backwards to Leshan for half a day, and then returning to Emeishan in the evening. Not only did they agree to send someone to the train station to pick-up, they agreed to pick up only my luggage without me needing to accompany. So I could add an additional hour to my Leshan trip. Then they came to the train station a 2nd time in the evening to pick me back to the hotel. 2) The hotel replies very very quickly on WeChat, as if monitoring it all the time. 3) The hotel could arrange ticket purchase of a show, Only Emeishan, at a price lower than what you find on the official website. 4) The hotel even left the suitcase in my room before my arrival. 5) When I told the hotel to skip preparing my breakfast as I was starting off at 7am the next day to go Emeishan (breakfast is 7.30am at the hotel), they offered to put some items into a plastic box for me to take along. 5-star service in terms of making arrangements! They gave me a really large room, and I never used the bathtub with the bath herbs, but am thankful for the upgrade. Loved it that they gave 1 gigantic bottle of water and 2 smaller ones, showing their care for pple intending to climb Emeishan. Please don't expect too much from what they call ”Afternoon Tea” included in your package. It is merely a small tray of dried/fresh fruit, so it wouldn't form a meal. But I would not be fair to readers of reviews if I didn't give a balanced review. a) The hardware is a bit tired. The wooden planks in the shower room are blackish, and there are water marks on the stone in the bathroom. b) The power sockets are not at good locations. They are at the lower parts of a wall at a random spot and nothing near the bedside. c) The lights in the room are not well-positioned. d) There was an empty bottle below the wardrobe area when I first entered the room, which was missed even on the 2nd day. e) As I'm not familiar with Emeishan, I also didn't know that 黄湾 area is not exactly the main activity area in Emeishan. That said, the hotel is a 5-7 min walk from the 黄湾 entrance/exit to Emeishan. I believe the Baoguo Temple entrance/exit would be more popular. There are several restaurants around the restaurant but the vast majority appear closed or are not occupied, so it doesn't feel very lively, whether day or night. All in all, I would still recommend this hotel as they are family owned and run. The whole family depends on your support. Support local small business and give them a chance.
Holiday Inn Guoshang (Tianfu International Airport Branch)
4.3/5207 Reviews
Tianfu International Airport/Jianyangnan Railway Station
The hotel name is rather deceiving. When I booked, I thought it was IHG's Holiday Inn, but it's actually not. The location is somewhere in the middle of a village near the airport, but luckily they provided free airport pick up service (For international tourists, it's best to get a local number to call the hotel). Due to construction works nearby, the distance to the airport took longer than expected. But, overall the stay is okay as the room is nice and comfy.
Louis Castle Sycamore Hotel

Business District/The area around the Twin Towers
The hotel I stayed in this time really left a deep impression on me! From the exterior to the interior, every part reveals refinement and elegance. The room is spacious and bright, and the layout is warm and comfortable, so that people can feel the warmth of home as soon as they enter the door. The bedding is even better, soft and delicate, which made me enjoy a beautiful sweet dream. The breakfast is rich and varied, whether it is fresh fruit, hot bread, or exquisite Chinese dim sum, it can satisfy my taste buds. Moreover, the environment of the restaurant is also very elegant, and the dining experience is very good. The service team of the hotel is even more commendable. Every employee is smiling, warm and thoughtful. In short, this stay experience is very pleasant, whether it is hardware facilities or service quality, I can't complain. Next time I come to this city, I will choose this hotel again and recommend it to more friends! 🥤🥤🥤
