Crowne Plaza Chengdu Panda Garden

Panda base/Theatre General Hospital
This was a first class experience at a first class hotel. Right from the start I was made to feel at home and was allowed to check in much earlier than 2pm which was ideal as I could freshen up before going to my future work place. In addition, complimentary breakfast was added to my reservation which again was a big bonus and the choices were fantastic. The grounds around the hotel are very nice to take a walk and the hotel is very near to many restaurants. The room itself was comfortable and great value for money and even having a bathtub was nice to use at the end of the day. This is a great place for anybody to stay and is family friendly which is convenient to go and see the pandas. All the staff were fantastic but I must mention Paul who really went that extra mile to make stay comfortable and even exchanged his Wechat in case I needed any help. His professional approach and English speaking ability is a great asset to the hotel. I will definitely be returning soon.
Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu - MGallery

This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms. Some noteworthy details: - Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort. - The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include: (a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now! (b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room (c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C. (d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold. - Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them. - We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away. - We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2. - Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too. - We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests. Areas of improvement: - Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake. - The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper. - Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor). Thank you Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu! We had a great stay here. Will definitely be back!
Diaoyutai Boutique Hotel Chengdu

Chengdu University of TCM/Kuanzhai Alley nearby area
It was a very pleasant accommodation experience. This time I brought Xiaobao to Chengdu and spent a lot of time choosing a hotel (see pictures and comments). Some comments said that the facilities of a 10-year-old hotel could not keep up. Later, considering that I was traveling with Xiaobao alone, I chose Diaoyutai (I thought at least the location was good). The first feeling after arriving at the hotel: quiet, clean, sanitary, and enthusiastic. Check-in was very fast. Xiao Wang at the front desk upgraded my room type for free, and provided private butler-style service. The room provided a Dyson hair dryer. I have a lot of long hair, and the hair dryers provided by other hotels are difficult to dry. Book a location in advance to watch Sichuan Opera (4 minutes walk from the hotel). Xiaobao likes to take a bath and play in the water. The cleaning lady also disinfected and laid a disposable bathtub film and then put the water in... There are too many things to say. Next time I go to Chengdu, I will stay in this hotel, which can save a lot of time.
Conrad Jiuzhaigou

Zhongzha Furrow Luneng Resort
The hotel is definitely my choice when I go to Jiuzhaigou again. Most staff, including the young guys who shuttled us between room and front desk/restaurant, were very friendly and helpful. Staff in the breakfast restaurant were all very nice and offered to help. The Concierge manager Jacky Zhang always replied to WeChat requests on a timely basis and made us feel most welcome when saw us in person. We stayed there for 4 nights and some staff recognized us and remembered our room number! They were all super friendly when we chatted with them. On the other hand, staff in the dinner restaurant 炙 are not too helpful or cheerful and need more training to improve the service. The hotel entrance was not always manned including when we arrived. More staff would be needed to ensure timely assistance for arriving guests. Our suite was spacious and at this time of the year could see a snow capped mountain outside the room's windows. The walk-in closet was a bit small relative to the size of the suite, but could accommodate one large open luggage and one small open one. The door of the washroom near the room's entrance was so heavy it was not possible to use that washroom. The nearby walk-in closet door was also super heavy, in any case, once our large luggage is open, that door became jammed by the luggage and could not be open, so we ended up using the entrance from the other side (the bedroom side). A cab ride to the scenic area took 20 minutes and some 42 Reminbi, that saved us the trouble of trying to find a car park at the scenic area where parking spaces were very limited. Many cabs also awaited tourists outside the scenic area when we were finished sight seeing for the day so there was no problem with getting back to the hotel. We dined at the hotel”s dinner restaurant twice and the food was alright though a bit on the high end according to mainland China's standard and for that yet to improve level of service. We were not offered a menu on the first day of buffet breakfast, but on subsequent days we were offered to choose additional items including different egg preparation, congees, noodles, etc. described in the menu. The breakfast restaurant was a bit small so tables were rather near one another, but we went at off peak hours so that was acceptable. There were enough varieties to keep us satisfied but must say not enough varieties for a 5-star hotel; in particular, there was only one type of salad leaf. The bath tub made a loud strange noise after use. We had to unplug from the electric socket to stop the intermitten loud wind blowing noise. That was reported to the front desk when we checked out, but somehow my communication in poor Putongua mixed with English terms was misunderstood by the front desk initially. All in all, I selected Jiuzhaigou Conrad after reviewing the choices carefully, and I still think this is probably the best choice for my needs. Will stay here again next time!
Howdy Smart Hotel (Chengdu Chunxi Taikoo Li)

Chunxi Road Commercial Area
Clean and comfortable. Rooms are large and equipped with all the necessities we need. Excellent location, about 10 mins walk to Chunxi Road Station E1 exit. There's also a convenience shop just next to the hotel which opens from 7am to 10pm. We stayed for a total of 7 nights throughout our 12-day trip, and the hotel kindly helped to safekeep our luggage when we went out for short trips around chengdu. Many thanks to all staffs from Howdy Smart Hotel and we will definitely come back when we visit chengdu next time.

Amazing stay at this hotel! It is gorgeous, right at the food of Emeishan where busses pick you up. I was picked up and dropped off from and train station, there was free tea service with snacks, and breakfast was hearty. They staff was also friendly and facilities clean and working well. Cannot recommend it highly enough! Loved my stay here.
Holiday Inn Guoshang (Tianfu International Airport Branch)
4.3/5202 Reviews
Tianfu International Airport/Jianyangnan Railway Station
The hotel name is rather deceiving. When I booked, I thought it was IHG's Holiday Inn, but it's actually not. The location is somewhere in the middle of a village near the airport, but luckily they provided free airport pick up service (For international tourists, it's best to get a local number to call the hotel). Due to construction works nearby, the distance to the airport took longer than expected. But, overall the stay is okay as the room is nice and comfy.

Wenshu Monastery/Longhu Shangcheng Sky Street
Really lovely hostel! The staff are so nice and helpful, and they speak perfect English! They have free events which was fun and an awesome way to meet other backpackers! We stayed in a private room, which was nice! The room itself was clean, stylish, and comfortable. The bathrooms were also nice! Just sometimes no hot water for showering at night. Overall really good hostel, would definitely come back! Oh and lots of good restaurants and convenient stores around.

Qingyin Pavilion-Wannian Temple
This B&B is super invincible~~ The location is very close to Wuxiangang, and it’s not far to drive up the mountain. The butler of the B&B can pick you up at the Emeishan High-speed Railway Station, and he is also a 185-year-old boy. I really like it. Although we drove ourselves with three beauties, the experience was great. Haha, girls from different provinces also like places like this. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was so soft that we just wanted to lie down all the time. The boss was super nice and the housekeeper responded very quickly if we needed anything. It was really a perfect stay experience! Floor-to-ceiling glass, a large TV on the wall, a large high-definition screen, and the large windows are full of green. Lying in the scenery is simply not a good idea. We like the decoration style very much. There are bookcases and decorations in the stairwell, which is very easy to check in. The stair railings are white and shadowless, which is very easy to film. The restaurant is entirely covered with floor-to-ceiling glass, making it look spacious, bright and comfortable. On the table are flowers and green plants cut from different mountains, which can be arranged randomly to create a different style [laughing] The boss looked at us taking photos and checking in, and thought we were from the Internet Master, actually no, I really like the overall warm environment. The housekeeper was also very considerate. Seeing that we had just arrived, a beautiful woman was not feeling well. She asked for medicine and asked about her condition. He said that breakfast would be delivered to the room without going downstairs, which was really good. Regardless of age, everyone can take a look and really like the decoration style of this restaurant. It has a great atmosphere. You can take photos and take photos. I love it! All in all, we would recommend it to our friends~ Living here is very comfortable in every aspect. All in all, I feel like I’m living at home! It deserves a five-star rating! <Worry-free travel>Pick-up and drop-off service at Emeishan Station:
Poshpacker Flipflop Youth Hostel (Taikoo Li Chunxi Road Metro Station)
4.6/52310 Reviews
Chunxi Road Commercial Area
We stayed here for 4 nights. Overall, the experience here was amazing 9/10, especially with the price and its location. It has got easy access to the metro and bus to airport, tonnes of nice eating spot with just walking distance Disposable toilet seat cover was to my surprised, as well as the international power points around the entire room. The stuff and cleaners here were absolutely welcoming and helpful too. However, there were abit of smell in the toilet not sure if it was leftover from the previous people or just the ventilation problem. Although everything looked clean in the room, but we have somehow been experiencing nose allergy every night we come back to the room and turn on the AC. So maybe the air conditioning can be clean more regularly together with the lights cover tat were slightly covered with dust.
