Budatin Castle, Zilina, Slovakia
The Budatin Castle was built in the 13th century and was rebuilt in the Renaissance style in the mid-16th century. In 1872, the construction of the railway led to the reduction of the size of the castle park. The castle's last large-scale reconstruction was from 1922 to 1923. As it has undergone countless renovations, it has incorporated design elements from different periods such as Baroque, Neoclassical and Renaissance, presenting a charming and diverse style. The castle is now used as a museum.
