Zanzibar is one of my favourite African destinations. It is a slice of paradise indeed and its famous for its beautiful white sand beaches, turquoise water and rich local culture. The East coast serves some of the best views on the island and this is where the best hotels are located. My favourite ones were Upendo and Zanziblue. The incredibly chilled vibe of both places made my trip even more enjoyable. We avoided staying in big resorts while in Zanzibar, and instead picked beach guest houses serving some of the best local food. One of the top things to do on the island is visiting the Tortoise sanctuary. This was definitely a highlight for me! #zanzibar #tanzania

Swimming with sea turtles!

So, I did this! But believe there were moments of panic and even tears 😅 I was super nervous at first and was glad to see others were too and I wasn't alone lol. Thankfully, the guide was really patient with me, which is what I needed especially with wanting to jump straight out and run away lol. Honestly though, I had an amazing time and would do it all over again! Ha#zanzibar #seaturtle #travel

It was dreamy!

This hotel was great! I'd heard great things about this chain hotel and was more than happy with what they had to offer. I spent 4 nights there, relaxing, sipping on cocktails and eating good food! Some of the restaurants have to be pre booked and get really booked up so I'd suggest you get onto that asap! We were lucky to get a table at the Italian restaurant on our last night and really enjoyed the food. The staff were very friendly! We enjoyed a couples massage and used the spa facilities afterwards which was a great way to end the vacation. Totally recommended this place! Absolutely gorgeous #travel #zanzibar
