A one hr and a half worthy drive from perth by the great southern highway! York’s original suspension bridge was built in 1888. In 1896 the bridge was lengthened and moved to its current position and has been rebuilt many times due to damage from flood waters.- yorkwa.gov It was an amazing drive w my cousin and I really loved it! It was like going back to the old bridge back home, not the same wooden walk path (bec we had the steel one) but it’s the same vibe!😉 Get out and drive! You won’t regret it! York’s original suspension footbridge first opened in 1888 after petitioning from residents for a footbridge to link pedestrian access east and west. A flood in 1891 saw the river flowing a metre above the foot-walk, but the bridge survived. We can travel to various places by walking because each place is not far from each other. There is beautiful architecture and a long city wall. You can walk up and see York. The most convenient way to travel is by train. Personally, I recommend that a one-day trip is enough. Stop by to visit along the way for a day (but the accommodation here is very expensive).
