They are not afraid of people, so you can approach them and spend time with them. I went to Yonaguni Island, the westernmost point of Japan! This time I took a JAL flight I flew from Naha Airport to Yonaguni Airport on a direct flight. I used a rental bicycle that JAL lends out at Yonaguni Airport. I was able to get from Yonaguni Airport to the westernmost point of Japan by bicycle in about 20 to 30 minutes. There was little traffic on the road and not a single pedestrian. It was almost too comfortable to ride. There was a park at the westernmost point, where you could see the rock that marks the westernmost point and the sea. There was also a space 5 minutes walk from the park where horses were on the road, and I experienced a surreal world. It goes without saying The sea was very beautiful! #Gourmet Marlin caught in the waters off Yonaguni Island, the westernmost point of Japan. This fisheries cooperative restaurant is open only for three hours at lunchtime at Yonaguni Fishing Port. Their most popular marlin set meal is incredibly delicious. Marlin sashimi and fried marlin. You can enjoy different textures of the sashimi depending on the part of the fish. The raw mozuku seaweed is also fresh and delicious. All this for 1,000 yen is a great deal! This is a restaurant you should definitely visit when you come to Yonaguni Island.

The easiest way to get to Yonaguni Island is by plane. There are flights from Naha Airport and Ishigaki Airport. You can also take a boat, departing from Ishigaki Island on the 25th and returning the next day. This is known as the route in Japan that is most likely to cause seasickness and vomiting. I got there on a plane from Ishigaki, and from the moment we landed I was excited by the beauty of the ocean around Yonaguni. My boss at work recommended Rokujo Beach as his favorite beach in the Sakishima Islands, and it was truly beautiful. I guess it's a matter of personal preference, but I prefer Rokujo Beach to Nishihama Beach in Hateruma. The entrance is a little hard to find (second photo), and you have to go further and climb down a cliff (third photo) to reach it. Be careful if you're wearing sandals.
