The Shwedagon Pagoda is the main attraction of Yangon, Myanmar’s capital city. It is not only national symbol but also one of indispensable religious monuments in the world. Covered with hundreds of gold bar, the pagoda is the most expensive pagoda in the world. There are also hundreds colorful temples, stupas, and statues that make the pagoda a treasure of architecture, and art. The Yangon Ring Road Railway has been in operation for more than a hundred years. Due to lack of maintenance, the railway has been deserted. The little train just entered the station and the crowd was surrounded. Because of the high compartment, one Burmese carried the cage and the other hand grabbed the doorknob to climb the carriage. It takes 3 hours for a small train to travel around the city. You only need about 1 yuan to buy a ticket to get a trip around the city. There are a lot of people on the train, tourists who take pictures with their cameras, students who carry school bags to go to school, and Buddhist monks. The most interesting people are the traders who shuttle between the various compartments. They carry a variety of goods in the basket, and they eat, wear and use everything. The little train swayed all the way, and the people in the car chatted with the rhythm and stayed. Perhaps this is the right way to take a small train.

#newyearnewtrip #myanmar Htamane Festival in Myanmar happens roughly around the end of February as the cold weather somewhat grows gentler on the people. It is usually prepared around what Burmese people call Tabodwe (just remember is as the full moon day of february haha) Htamane is made from glutinous rice and other local delights. People may gather around it make it together as a festival. My family usually sets up a big pot in our garden back home and cook it together! Truly when the times were much more peaceful in Myanmar. Yangon is famous for its colonial-era buildings, most famous pagodas of the country which are best explored by foot or on trishaws. You will find one pagoda in almost every corner of the city. The Buddhist people might like to visit once but one thing you should know that all the temples in Myanmar you might have to take off your shoes neither socks.Places I have visited, Shwedagon Pagod, Chaukhtatgyi Buddha Temple, Sule Pagoda, Botataung Pagoda, Nga Htat Gyi Temple and Swe Taw Myat Pagoda.

The Seeds Restaurants has always been our favourite place to go in Yangon. It is a must-go place for us to celebrate our birthdays. The environment is excellent, the view is amazing. Not to mention the food is phenomenal. My children always enjoying watching the rabbits and the chicken in the restaurants. Their daily lunch set is affordable and they have the best service in Yangon.

An absolutely must-see place in the center of the capital city Yangon. This impressive religious complex is almost 100m tall and more than 2500 years old. The ticket fee for foreigners is 10,000 ks, for locals the entrance is free. You should put your shoes in the bag as wearing them is prohibited. Also you need to wear modest clothes when visiting. The best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon when it's less hot. #visitmyanmar #myanmar

Ending the post, New Year's in Yangon with a place that is definitely worth visiting, "The Secretariat of Yangon". This building used to be the office of the old government since the British ruled Burma. It used to be the office of the British High Commissioner of Burma, the parliament building, and the office of the Burmese cabinet after independence from the British. The building is built in a U shape. Originally, there were 16 domes, but 8 of them survived. It is a colonial architecture, made of red bricks. It used to be the office of General Aung San, the father of Aung San Suu Kyi, who was assassinated along with 6 other cabinet members. After being abandoned for a long time, there was a debate about whether to renovate it into a hotel or a museum. The conclusion was not to build a hotel... Now it is almost completely renovated. It is an art gallery, art exhibition, and museum. There is also a coffee shop and fast food. The interior is very beautiful. There are many floors. There is a balcony looking out to the surrounding buildings. The woodwork inside is very beautiful and intricate. It is another important landmark of Yangon that should be visited at least once. First time traveling in Myanmar as a backpacker The first temple in Myanmar that I visited was Chauk Htat Gyi Chauk Htat Gyi Reclining Buddha Temple or Sweet-Eyed Reclining Buddha It is very beautiful. I came to see it with my own eyes. It is really beautiful. I also had the opportunity to go to Chinatown. There is a lot of food.
