It's fair to say that St. John's Co-Cathedral in the capital Valletta is the most famous place in Malta 🇲🇹 The entrance fee is quite high, but it's a must-see! The audio guide is also available in Japanese, and it will probably take an hour to walk around while listening to it. As shown in the first photo, the largest rectangular space is surrounded by several luxurious rooms and the tombs of people related to the Knights of Malta. The paintings are also noteworthy. At first glance, the street with its huge slope is simply astonishing! The old Mint Street is definitely the most photographed characteristic old street in the ancient city of Valletta! Although it's called Mint Street, it actually means 'coinage'. This place was once the site of a coin minting factory during the time of the Knights, hence the name Mint Street. Walking on the old Mint Street, you can see at a glance that the long street forms a U-shaped slope along the terrain, making you want to rush down all the way! At the end of the street, there's a Baroque-style domed church, and in the distance, the Mediterranean backdrop of blue sky and sea is simply breathtaking! Getting There - getting there was extremely easy. take a simple 3 hour flight from London. We flew with Air Malta and there are buses that go to every part of the country. plus a Ferry boat that crosses between Sliema and Valletta Attractions - main places to see is the island of Gozo and Crystal Caves. Such clear blue water Hotels - stay in any 5 star hotel, the infinity pools are beautiful Food & Restaurants - highly recommend Blue Elephant in the Hilton Malta in St Julian’s. I was excited to visit Malta and get to know its culture because it seemed like such a unique European destination. Throughout the years, Malta was ruled by the Romans, Arabs, and Brits, to name a few, and you can feel the mix of cultures in everything and everywhere. I preferred to stay in Valetta, is more convenient to reach everywhere, also it was easier to move around by boat or either hop on -hop off In this case, I stayed at Tano’s Boutique Guesthouse. Ideally, you’ll want to travel to Malta in mid or late spring, early summer, or early fall to enjoy the best weather and avoid the summer ccrowd ✨I highly recommend visiting these places 📍 Valetta: it is walkable you can spend many relaxing hours wandering the romantic alleyways and exploring the city, and it’s easy to access every place. I went to the Upper BarrakaGardens first and then Lower Barrakka Gardens same. One of the most popular attractions in Malta is the saluting battery in the capital, Valletta. It fires two rounds each day, with one at noon and the other at 4pm. It is an interesting reminder of the extensive history this small island nation has! The origins of this site go back approximately 500 years when the Ottoman empire attempted to invade. For a modest price, we enjoyed a selection of finger cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry preserve, also an irresistible selection of pastries and teacakes, all freshly prepared. This is I think my 5th time to visit Malta. That's why I was surprised when I saw these new structure in the center of the plaza in Saint George's Square Valletta. It is called the United Nations Day, an exhibition to celebrate UN77 years anniversary and this colorful designed "Enlightened Universe" by Mr. Cristobal Gabarron entitled Colors of Hope, it was originally began in New York in the year 2015 and travel to different country every year from October to December to show the Unity of different countries.
