The title really says it all but just wow! The view was incredible, the excitement was overwhelming. We stopped at Gyawu La Pass on our drive to Mount Everest Base Camp and we’re in awe of the beautiful sight. This was a quick stop we took before transferring to an eco friendly bus that took us the rest of the way to the base of Mount Everest. It really was a bucket list and life changing trip. I can’t recommend it enough…if you are able to travel to Tibet, go! 🥰 If you live in China, you can travel to Tibet with a tour group. To get there, one must enlist the service of a tour company. They will take care first and foremost your permit to travel. One is recommended to acclimatize days before doing the actual trip around Tibet and heading to see the highest mountain in the world. We stayed at various 4-Star hotels in prior to heading to the base camp where we stayed at local tents with good heating system. The tent owner will take care of you including bedding and food. The biggest challenge of traveling to Tibet is altitude sickness. Today I came to the highest altitude place of this trip, MT.Qomolangma Base Camp, which is 5200 meters above sea level. I really felt the thinness of oxygen and I wanted to sleep all the time. The weather today is really good, you can see the panoramic view of MT.Qomolangma, and there is also a sign of 318 Dingri Station, which is a must-drive route in life, to take pictures. I have heard that many people challenge themselves to climb Mount Everest, but starting from January 2019, Chinese government has banned any unit or individual from climbing Mount Qomolangma. The view from a distance is already very shocking! #summervacation

📍Tibet, China Altitude sickness at 5200m 🗻😢🤢 It was fine outside, but I started to have headaches and purple lips in the tent😣 The world's highest peak, Mount Everest, also known as Mount Everest🗻, is 8,848m above sea level (I finally saw it!) Many friends thought I was going to climb Mount Everest, how could I have the courage😳 And I only stayed in the base camp at an altitude of 5,200m for one night, and I felt uncomfortable for a whole night😢 There is only 23% of the atmosphere at an altitude of 5,000-10,000m. The higher the altitude, the thinner the air and the lower the oxygen content. Fortunately, I only had a slight altitude sickness, and I didn't have any breathing difficulties. 🙏🏻 I have been to many high mountains, but only on Mount Everest did I have obvious altitude sickness. Everest Base Camp has a temperature of -10° at 1 am and a car ride from Shigatse for 8 hours. After three hundred twists and turns in three border checkpoints, it finally reaches Everest Base Camp.
