Puek Tian Beach: A Beautiful Beach Near Bangkok
Puek Tian Beach is located in the Puek Tian sub-district, about 7 kilometers south of Chao Samran Beach. You can also reach it by taking Phetkasem Road to Tha Yang District and then turning left at the Khlong Chonprathan Intersection 2 for about 15 kilometers. This serene beach in Phetchaburi is not far from Chao Samran Beach and is a popular spot for people to relax, enjoy the sea breeze, and have picnics with friends. Visitors can savor delicious food from various vendors and enjoy the beach before heading back to their comfortable accommodations. This beach is located north of Cha-am Beach and south of Chao Samran Beach. Puek Tian Beach features white sand and is not very wide, but it is suitable for swimming. One of the attractions of this beach is the statues of characters from the Thai literary work 'Phra Aphai Mani,' including the Giantess, Phra Aphai Mani, Sin Samut, and the Mermaid, which recreate a scene from the story. The beach is well-equipped with amenities such as accommodations, restaurants, and souvenir shops to serve tourists.
Traveling from Bangkok, drive straight to Phetchaburi Province via Phetkasem Road (Highway No. 4), passing through Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi Provinces. You can enter Phetchaburi city directly. Then, head towards Chao Samran Beach, passing Phetchaburi Rajabhat University. About 2 kilometers before reaching Chao Samran Beach, there is a sign indicating a right turn. Drive for less than 10 kilometers, and you will see a sign for Puek Tian Beach. Turn left and drive a short distance to reach Puek Tian Beach.

📍Little Leaf Matcha Specialty, Tha Yang, Phetchaburi
This place is a dedicated matcha shop. If you're a matcha enthusiast, you shouldn't miss it. The menu is quite diverse, and the owner gives excellent recommendations. If you're a beginner, don't worry about making the wrong choice. The shop has a few small tables, but not too many, and it's decorated in a minimalist Japanese style. If you pass through Phetchaburi, make sure to stop by.

Thailand Volunteering
I spent twelve weeks in a small town close to Hua Hin in Thailand. This was all spent at a volunteering site called Wildlife Friends Foundation. I volunteered on their Wildlife program. This involved making lots of food and feeding over 8 hundred animals. We had a massive variety of animals ranging from Tigers and Cats to Langurs and Gibbons. There is also an Elephant Sanctuary on this site which is very popular. #songkran2024 #thailand
