#Travel to save the world The Royal Initiative of Chang Hua Man Project is located in Nong Kok Kai Village, Khao Kapuk Subdistrict, Tha Yang District, Phetchaburi Province. It is a model agricultural project initiated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, Rama IX, in 2009 with the aim of promoting sustainable agriculture and being a learning resource for farmers and the general public. --- 🌱 Background and concept of the project The name "Chang Hua Man" comes from the incident where His Majesty placed a sweet potato on a scale in his workroom at Klai Kangwon Palace. When time passed, the sweet potato grew by itself. His Majesty therefore thought that "It can grow anywhere" and established this project as an example of efficient resource use and self-reliance. --- 🚜 Activities and highlights of the project Demonstration farm: A variety of plants are grown, such as fragrant coconuts, rainbow rose apples, sweet potatoes, asparagus, various rice varieties, and vegetables, with an emphasis on organic farming. Livestock farm: Dairy cows, egg-laying chickens, and the production of compost from natural materials are raised as an example of integrated farming. Wind turbines: The project has installed wind turbines to generate electricity for use in the area, promoting the use of renewable energy. Father's Farm: This is the private residence of King Rama IX, who was registered as a farmer and used as his work place. --- 🚌 Visiting and facilities Visiting: Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with no charge. Tram service: There is a tram service with a tour guide to various areas within the project, explaining the history and various activities. Product shop: There is a shop selling products from the project, such as organic vegetables and fruits, fresh milk ice cream, and various souvenirs. Tent site: For those who want to stay overnight, there is a tent site available.
