The Chimei Museum divides its art and collections into both permanent and temporary exhibitions. We chose the Permanent Exhibition, which has five zones: the Prehistoric Animal Room, the Arms Room, which features various martial arts demonstrations, the 12th-13th century art collection, and the highlight, the Musical Instruments Room, which houses the world's largest violin collection. The Permanent Exhibition alone houses over 4,000 pieces. The CHIMEI Museum is spectacular from the entrance, but it's quite tiring to walk to the building itself. The exterior offers many photo opportunities. If you're short on time, just take photos of the outdoor area or the picnic area. However, if you have time and want to see more art, you can purchase tickets through Trip.com, which is incredibly convenient. We also purchased our tickets upon arrival at the museum. After purchasing, you can scan to enter. It's super convenient. I recommend leaving plenty of time for your visit, as it's very spacious and has so much to see. It's definitely worth the time. There are buses that pass in front of the museum, but if you're on a tight schedule and have a travel companion, taking a taxi is the best option. It's more convenient and faster. However, it was a holiday, so it was crowded at times. MOXI MOXI offers a wide variety of menu items, including bubble milk tea, various fruit teas, and many deliciously mixed smoothies. A lovely farm with some cute animals. Admission is NT$200, which is good for NT$100 off food and beverages. The trail is quite steep, and there's a sign saying "Please exercise according to your ability." 🤣 But I still managed to complete it. 👍🏻 There's an observation tower inside, with beautiful views and fresh air. The gym is decent, but note that there is no swimming pool. In recent years, this hotel has become a popular choice for wedding banquets among newlyweds in Tainan. Niuchouzi Station was built during the Japanese colonial period in 1903 and is located in Shuishang Township, Chiayi County. It was named after the nearby "Niuchouzi Village." At the time, it was a small station on the Taiwan Trunk Line, primarily serving local residents and transporting agricultural products such as rice, vegetables, and sugarcane. It played a significant role in local transportation and the economy. However, as railway transportation became centralized in Chiayi City, the station's usage gradually declined, leading to its closure in 1986. The site was left abandoned for a time until local efforts transformed it into "Niuchouzi Station Park." The park retains some railway relics and features added green spaces and recreational facilities. Today, it serves not only as a leisure spot for residents but also as a reminder of Chiayi's railway history.

#September2025 Who says Tainan only has food and historical sites? The National Museum of Prehistory's Nanking Archaeological Museum will absolutely amaze you! I thought archaeology was boring, but I was surprised by how much more interesting this place is. It turns out there's a vast treasure trove beneath the Nanking area, with countless cultural relics! The museum's design is amazing, transforming rigid archaeological knowledge into fun interactive games. Even a history nerd can easily become a little expert. The coolest part is that there's a "anywhere door" where you can directly watch the archaeologists hard at work sorting artifacts! If your curious kids have any questions, you can even pick up the intercom and shout out to them, "What treasures did you dig up today?" The archaeologists are incredibly enthusiastic and will share their experiences with you. By the way, parents with children, take note! The children's room here is a real entertainment haven! I strongly recommend making reservations online beforehand, otherwise, on weekends, you'll be stuck staring blankly from the outside. The museum has four floors to explore at your leisure, and if you're a curious explorer, you can easily spend two hours there. But if you're not a fan of history, you might just rush through it and be out in 30 minutes, haha! One final note: the food options are minimal, with only two 7-11 machines keeping things going. So, make sure you're full before you arrive, or you might end up eating the artifacts!

But did you know there's actually an incredible building hidden away on the Lixing Campus of National Cheng Kung University? The first time I passed by it, I thought it was some quirky, internet-famous restaurant. But after looking it up online, I realized, wow! It's actually the renowned "Green Magic School." Just the name sounds cool, right? I immediately booked half a day to make this pilgrimage. And I have to say, it's truly worth your time to savor it! This building, often called the "modern Noah's Ark," is truly remarkable. Costing only NT$87,000 per square meter, it's the world's most energy-efficient super green building! It utilizes 13 amazing green building designs to easily achieve a 65% energy savings. Even a liberal arts student like me is impressed! Not only is it Taiwan's first "zero-carbon building," it's also the world's first "subtropical green building education center." Having said all that, here's the point! Admission is completely free, and guided tours can be booked. It's located on the National Cheng Kung University campus, about a ten-minute walk from the Tainan Railway Station's rear station. Driving is easy, and parking is readily available on Qianfeng Road near the school. However, one thing you should know: Because of its emphasis on environmental protection and energy conservation, the building doesn't have air conditioning, but instead uses ventilation for cooling. While it's not too hot, if you're particularly sensitive to heat, visiting in autumn or winter is recommended for greater comfort.
