Szombathely is in the west of the country. The oldest city in Hungary, Szombathely is known as the birthplace of Saint Martin of Tours. The sights are the following: country hall, main square, Savaria museum, Smith museum, boating lake, bishop's palace, art gallery. Szombathely is the 10th largest city in Hungary and the oldest city in Hungary. We secretly prefer the western part of Hungary over the eastern part. It is more peaceful and simple. When we visited, it was during the annual festival. There were people wearing clown costumes to add color. We got to try spiral potatoes and eat two scoops of ice cream. There were so many snacks that we couldn't decide. #TravelEurope #100TravelTips
