Szekesfehervar, is a city in central Hungary. The area is an important rail and road junction between Lake Balaton and Lake Velence. It held a central role in the Middle Ages so there's a nice, historical city center with Baroque, Classical buildings. The important buildings are St Stephen Cathedral, ruins of Szekesfehervar Basilica, St Anna Chapel, Episcopal Palace, City Hall, Zichy Palace, Bory Castle, Vörösmarty Theater. There are also a few museums. It's important to mention the Csitary spring where you can get mineral water. You can take a day trip to the village of Iszkaszentgyorgy, which is in the Bakony Mountains.
