I stayed with my wife for my wedding anniversary, first until I was greeted by the friendly sis Orfi. The view of the resort where we stayed was amazing with a private pool and rooms facing directly to the open ocean.. really a traveling experience that I will never forget with my wife. PADADITA BEACH HOTEL

I stay 4 days 3 nights at this hotel,, Usually I will look for a review of the hotel I will be staying at, but due to really busy activities, I finally leave it to my friends to arrange my lodging in Waingapu.. At first I thought, because the Waingapu area is not as advanced as the areas in the capital, so I was skeptical and thought I would sleep in hamlets with makeshift facilities, it turned out that when I arrived at the hotel, I was quite surprised, the hotel was very big and clean .. it's not supported by elevator facilities, but the cleanliness and standard of the rooms are like 3-star hotels in Jakarta.. the staff is friendly, and the hotel airport shuttle facilities are quite helpful when landing in waingapu .. because online motorcycle taxis haven't been there yet, so transportation is not as easy as in the capital The hotel is great and the view is cool! Prices are not too expensive and service is friendly, easy to access from the main road. Don't forget to go there with Pasola Tours & Travel to enjoy the beauty of Sumba. If you are going to explore and have an adventure around the island of Sumba, then in Waingapu this hotel is worthy of being a starting point for a tour around Sumba. Stunning Warerfall

We travel the world since 2021 and this is defently the best waterfall we have ever visited!!! Why?? There a NO people, because the way there is not for beginners on the scooter, very pumpy road to get there and also no signes where the waterfall is. The normal tourist go with a guid to that stunning place, but we did it by our own because we love the adventure. Hard to find but absolutely worth it!

Then don't forget to explore upstream and downstream of the waterfall, maybel you'll find another secret of this place. Getting There - From the city center of East Sumba (Waingapu) take ride to Umalulu or known as Melolo by local people. After you get there, take the right turn near the police office then go straight after approximately 45 minutes youll find elemetary school/"sekolah dasar Inpres waimarang" then take left turn, after long ride you have to stay focus, cause the road change into rocky road. Go straight and the the first right turn, follow the road then take left turn follow the road, until you find the small village with tradisional house, you can take the pictures here, and don't forget to smile and say 'terima kasih'. continue your ride and you'll gonna find kind of red lime stone rocky road then take left turn, follow the road go up the hill, then here you are finally at the rest place of waimarang waterafall. Important notes, you need to understand a few words of Indonesian, cause maybe youre phone not works there. (ex : "Dimana air terjun ? ORO BEACH HOUSES & RESTAURANT

This is the umpteenth time I have visited Oro Beach house in Laura, Sumba island. A very natural, comfortable and beautiful place.. clean beach with white sand. Unique and very private bungalows on the beach. This place sings a very beautiful sunset. The manager, Mrs. Siska and her friends, is very friendly. Being in Oro is like being at home. The choice of the right place to stay if you are on vacation to the island of Sumba. it is located close to Tambolaka airport and to other tourist places The rooms are very comfortable. There were good beds and linens and everything worked. The mozzie net is patched, but effective. The rooms are cleaned and the grounds are quite well maintained. The pages are very rocky, and this wasn't (at first) very visually appealing to me, but over the course of a few days I got used to it and noticed its distinct beauty. Whale bones and other objects also create interest. We briefly lost power a few times, but recovered quickly. There were bugs in the bathroom, but these came at night when the lights were still on. They are not particularly scary bugs (little slaters) and we preferred this to the very fumigated hotel we had in Bali, where everything was poisoned and there were no geckos. Our kids loved the two giant geckos in their room. The whole time we were there we kept thinking about how things could be done a little better, with a little extra effort. For example, there is no menu, so every time you want to eat you have to have a discussion about what they do and don't have, and how to cook it. They should just have a list of what they prepared to cook (e.g. curry, grilled fish or chicken, noodles, fried rice), and a list of what ingredients they had that day (could be on a chalkboard so they could change it). It took us four days to work out, they could cook all these things. Second, the list of public tours exhibited at prices would be good. MARIO HOTEL & CAFE

Clean, tidy hotel, friendly service. Even the owner, Mr Al, is called, very welcome. As soon as we enter the lobby which is also where we have breakfast, we are presented with a beautiful flower arrangement that is blooming. We can have breakfast looking at the clean swimming pool and the quiet "Kita" beach. "Our" beach with soft white sand, does not stick even though our feet are wet. From the balcony of our room, we can enjoy looking at the sea and the view of the neatly arranged Mario hotel. It's okay to come back again. The location of the hotel is a public beach, Pantai Kita. The beach is clean. The location of the rooms faces the beach, so the waves can be heard. Swimming pool 24 hours. At night you can sleep by the pool while looking at the stars. The room is as expected, and the AC is cold. Friendly staff. Overall, very good. Satisfied staying here In West Sumba this hotel is highly recommended, you can choose a room in the form of a cottage or a regular room. This hotel has a swimming pool that can be used until the evening, and has a pristine white sand beach.
