The three turquoise lakes are like something out of a postcard, each more beautiful than the last. The hike itself is well-maintained paths and had clear signage. On our way to Whistler, my cousin and I went to a beautiful wonderland in Squamish by taking the Sea to Sky Gondola. This is my first time taking a gondola in the snow, so it’s pretty exciting. When we arrived, we get to walk the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge in the snow. The whole place is like a magic place and my cousin and I even made a snowman in this white world. 📍Address: 36800 BC-99, Squamish, BC V8B 0B6, Canada Also, around that area, there is a beautiful waterfall that you must visit called Shannon Fall. There, you get to immerse yourself in the forest and breathe the fresh air. The first lake we passed was frozen and covered with snow. The second lake we passed was currently half frozen. ‼ ️Equipment 🌟Crampons + Gaiter, if you have a snowshoe, you can also use a snowshoe. 🌟The temperature is relatively low, remember to bring more clothes, which can be used when eating and taking pictures by the lake. 🌟My experience is that you can prepare an extra pair of socks in case your shoes get wet accidentally, you can change into spare socks. 🌟Hat + gloves, keeping warm is very important! 🌟You can bring a foldable foam cushion to make it easier to sit on the snow, otherwise your pants will be very uncomfortable if they get wet. Choose a good weather to see Lake G in winter, it's really worth it! !

In comparison, I love her snow-covered appearance even more! Blue sky + snow-capped mountains + lake water, it is hard not to feel that this is a paradise on earth. Hiking tips: ❄️The whole round trip was 20.5 kilometers, climbing 950 meters. It is 9 kilometers from the trail to the lake. The extra 1.5 kilometers is the distance of walking around the lake. ❄️When I went there on November 15, it started to snow from the trail to the 4th kilometer. The closer to the lake, the deeper the snow, and the deepest snow reached the knees. ❄ It took a total of 7.5 hours, and the moving time was about 6 hours. It gets dark early now, so try to set off early.

#outdooradventure Canada | Hiking the Panorama's Ridge Guide Summer is when real adventures happen. I have never been to BC in all these years in Canada. By chance, I finally booked a flight in early July this year and went to the Panorama's Ridge hike that I had always dreamed of. While completing my longest single-day hike, I also fulfilled another little wish of mine: road trip every province in southern Canada🫡 This route is located in Garibaldi Provincial Park. In summer, you need to book a pass on the BC Park official website 2 days in advance. This time I took the route starting from Ruble Creek parking lot, with a total length of about 30KM and a climb of about 1,550 meters. I took an hour to take photos and rest + the actual hike took about 9 hours. On the way there, I walked to Garibaldi's Lake. The signboards were very clear. The first 6KM was an endless uphill switchbacks, and then it would be much flatter, until the last 3KM, which would be a big uphill again. The scenery in the middle of the flat section was still picturesque, and it felt like being in Switzerland. In early July, the snow on the top had not completely melted. You had to walk carefully when you went up, otherwise you would easily slip. Finally, you had to climb a rocky slope to reach the summit. The scenery after the summit was really beautiful. You could see Mt. Garibaldi, Black Tusk, Mt. Price, and the Garibaldi Lake, which was so blue that it seemed unreal and surrounded by mountains. We returned after a short rest. We walked through Taylor Meadows on the way back, which saved 1KM of walking and allowed us to see different scenery. The downhill on the way back was the most endurance-testing. #mountainhike Life is the wilderness panorama ridge, I have been thinking about the beauty for a long time, and finally climbed to it. I really recommend this trail! Although the total length of 32 kilometers plus 1600m climbing, but the road conditions are very good, 50% have a feeling that they are not climbing the mountain, only the first 6 km z-shaped climbing is more tired. And the Stone Mountain section before the final summit can be a bit difficult (Figure 78) and it is recommended to use a climbing rod when going down the mountain. The only drawback is that there are so many mosquitoes that they can hardly stop, and the recent weather is very comfortable, and I climbed in short sleeves, but with long sleeves and soft shells. At the top of the mountain, the wind was strong and the clouds were thick, so I added a dress. I brought three litres of water, but I only drank two litres. We got to the parking lot at about 7:30 a.m. and no one checked the pass.

It’s our second time to Panorama Ridge Trail. We arrived early at the Rubble Creek parking lot to start our adventure. The trailhead is well-marked, and we recommend starting as early as possible. Trust us, it gets busy quickly, especially on weekends. We explored the first few kilometers, which offer a steady uphill climb through the forest 🌳 It’s a great chance to soak in the peacefulness of the woods before the views open up. We recommend packing plenty of water 💧 snacks, and layers, as the temperature can change drastically, especially near the ridge. We pushed on to Taylor Meadows, a beautiful alpine area. The trail flattens out a bit here, and we were rewarded with stunning views of wildflowers and snow-capped peaks. We recommend taking a break here to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. If you’re camping overnight, Taylor Meadows has a campsite. From here, we hiked further to Garibaldi Lake, which was even more breathtaking in person than in pictures 📸 The turquoise water and the reflection of the mountains are unforgettable. We’d recommend having lunch here by the lake, it’s an ideal spot to relax and fuel up before tackling the ridge. The final push to Panorama Ridge is tough but worth every step. We recommend pacing yourself as the altitude can be a challenge. As we climbed higher, we could feel the fresh mountain air energizing us. The trail gets steeper, and we navigated some rocky terrain, so be prepared with good hiking boots 🥾 and trekking poles. The 360-degree view from the top was unreal. We spent a while at the summit just taking it all in the glaciers, Garibaldi Lake, and the distant peaks were like something out of a dream. If you want to take pictures, make sure to go early to avoid afternoon clouds rolling in. 📍Panorama Ridge Trail, Garibaldi Provincial Park, BC, Canada ☀️The weather changes fast in the mountains. When we visited, we saw everything from sunshine to chilly winds. I would recommend checking the weather forecast the night before and in the morning. Dress in layers and bring a waterproof jacket, as rain can surprise you even on sunny days. ⏱️ We found that starting early in the morning, around 6 or 7 a.m., was the best. It gives you time to enjoy the hike without feeling rushed. 🗓️ Summer (July to September) is the best time for clear skies and trail conditions. We also saw many people hiking back as late as sunset, but that’s risky, so bring a headlamp if you plan to start late or linger at the top. 🥾 Proper hiking boots are essential. We saw a few people in running shoes struggling with the rocks near the ridge. We explored so many breathtaking spots on the Panorama Ridge trail, and every section offered something unique. Joffrey Lakes is a little north of Whistler. A popular hiking and sightseeing spot. There are three lakes, and you can see beautiful lakes as you hike! As the altitude increases, the slope gets steeper, but when you reach the last Upper Lake, the most beautiful emerald green scenery awaits you 💚 The water was very cold because it was melted glacier water 😚 But it's perfect for hiking in the summer, and although it's too cold to get in, it feels good to just put your feet in! ! There is a limit on the number of people in the high season, so you need to reserve a ticket. When visiting Vancouver, most people don't miss the popular attractions. However, there are some lesser-known spots that are definitely worth a visit. One such place is Joffre Lake, a glacial lake located 160 kilometers from Vancouver. To get there, take Highway 99 north from Vancouver, passing through the Sea-to-Sky Highway, Shannon Falls, and Whistler before reaching the trailhead. (Bonus tip at the end) ⛺: Due to the small parking lot and environmental protection measures, this remote park has a limited entry policy. You need to secure a reservation ticket (free) to enter the park. These tickets are released at 7 AM, two days before your planned visit. 🛬: It takes only five minutes to walk from the parking lot to the first lake, Lower Lake, which is an easy and delightful start. From the first lake, walk back 100 meters and turn left to enter the trail leading to the second lake. This is the longest stretch of the hike. Middle Lake, the second lake, appears suddenly after a challenging hike, without any prior warning. The lake is surrounded by floating logs and has a stunning emerald green color. Continue uphill for about 30 minutes to reach the third lake. This part of the trail includes two rocky sections but is manageable. Along the way, you'll pass a waterfall fed by melting snow from the mountain top, which flows into the third lake. Upper Lake, the third lake, is expansive, with the lake surface reflecting the snow-capped mountains and sky. It's a breathtaking scene. There are many large rocks around the lake where you can sit, rest, and enjoy the serene beauty. The entire Joffre Lakes hike took me and two visitors four and a half hours to complete, including two hours spent taking photos and eating. I highly recommend this hike to anyone visiting Vancouver. If you can't make it to Banff, Joffre Lakes is a must-visit for its pristine mountain scenery and fresh air. The last tip: If you leave Vancouver at 4 AM, you can avoid the reservation requirement. Although it's hard to secure a reservation ticket two days in advance, arriving before 7 AM means you don't need one. So, if you're determined to go, skip the reservation, go to bed early, and leave at 4 AM. You'll arrive by 7 AM, enjoy a refreshing morning hike, and can return early in the afternoon. If you stay in Whistler the night before, leaving at 6 AM should be sufficient.
