St. Regis Jakarta Opened in 2023, with new facilities; you can personally experience top-notch service; breakfast is exquisite and abundant. Grand Hyatt Jakarta Great location, right downstairs are the two major malls, Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia; standard rooms are very spacious; the lounge offers more options than Westin. Alila SCBD Jakarta Located in one of Jakarta’s rare pedestrian-friendly areas, extremely convenient for daily life; the hotel has great views and design, with many bars nearby, which can get noisy starting Thursday. Westin Jakarta All rooms are above the 52nd floor, offering exceptional views; built in 2016, facilities are relatively new; has a lounge; standard rooms are relatively small.

#balilife 📍 Tanah Lot Temple is one of the most famous sea temples in Bali. 🌊 The temple is located on a rock, surrounded by the ocean, and during high tide, it looks like it’s floating. 🚶♀️ There’s a nice walking path leading to the viewpoint. You can walk close to the temple when the tide is low, but I didn’t cross the water path. I just enjoyed the view from the main area and that was already beautiful! 🍃 The walk to the temple is very chill and breezy with lots of local shops and snacks along the way. 🛍️ You can buy souvenirs or just enjoy window shopping. 📸 It’s a great photo spot, especially during sunset! 💡 Tips: Best to visit in the late afternoon for cooler weather and sunset views. You don’t need to cross the water path to enjoy the experience. It’s called Warung Cahaya, located about a 20-minute walk from Legian Beach. This local favorite in Bali is open from 9 AM to 5 PM. I ordered fried pork belly, nasi goreng, grilled pork belly, and an Indonesian vegetable dish called plecing gondo. The fried pork belly comes with sambal, a pickled onion condiment, which pairs perfectly with the rich fried pork belly, making it delicious. The fried pork belly was especially crispy, which made the texture delightful. The grilled pork belly was tender and mild, which I also liked. The nasi goreng I ordered alongside was fluffy and light! It has a slightly bitter and savory flavor that was so good I want to try it again next time I visit Indonesia. I visited just after 9 AM, and it was already full of locals.
