The café is quite a small one, with a few tables and seatings. Love the huge transparent windows at the side of the store which allows ample flow of natural lighting in store. The ambiance was rather chill and relaxing, great hang out place for friends and families! They offer hot food and a few kinds of pastries, cakes and coffee! We ordered their tuna sandwich and coffee which was pretty good and decent. Overall, cozy gathering and hang out place whilst in Sitiawan!

#freehotelstay Tua Pek Gong Temple is located in the Manjung district of Perak, about 7.6 KM from Sitiawan, and it is a true hidden gem for the locals and foreign tourists. The temple was built with the largest eye-catching.48-foot-long Tua Pek Kong’s stone carvings in Malaysia at the entrance and there is a Guanyin’s stone and the Queen Mother’s stone, as well as a some other God sculptures of various sizes. Recent year, the spot has been expanding where the landscaped garden with koi ponds, artificial rocks and more statues are available in the temple now. However, the renovation is still on-going and it is believed that more surprises will be offered to the public soon. Our first stop while we arrived in Sitiawan due to the good reviews we saw online. In fact they did not disappoint! The fish ball is my favourite with savoury soup base and it reminds me immediately of the cooking of my passing grandmother. Braised pork rice is tasty too! The fried popiah is mediocre. Price is slightly higher but provided the restaurant is air conditioned, nothing to complain about! Recommended!

If you happen to be at Sitiawan area, and am someone who fancies pork, do try the local special - dry Bak Kut Teh available at Restoran Tien Kuan. Served in thick, starchy, black and sweet sauce which makes it flavourful mixed with ingredients - pork, small intestines, bits of cuttlefish is a bowl of authentic dry Bak Kut Teh which you can find uniquely in Malaysia. What’s important is, it’s done well here, with a fragrant cuttlefish taste. Try it especially if you are a pork lover.

One of the highlights of our meal was the coconut flower alcohol, a unique and refreshing drink that tasted remarkably similar to 100 Plus. It paired perfectly with the seafood, enhancing the overall dining experience. The fried sotong was another standout dish. While it may have looked ordinary, the flavors were anything but. The crispy exterior gave way to tender, flavorful squid that was cooked to perfection. Overall, our drive to Jit Yue Hiong Seafood was well worth it. #ipohtrip If you even consider to visit some hidden attractions in Malaysia other than the famous Kuala Lumpur, Penang or Sabah, Ipoh can be a great place for you to explore!! Not a super fancy big city but it is a small cute town embayed in mountains. For the 2-3 days trips, do not miss out the Perak Cave Temple as this is where you can climb up the temple to overlook the town view and Kek Lok Toong with the god statues inside the caves plus the paradise in the back mountain for you to chill and enjoy the boat riding. Not to mention there are some good cafe such as the Harry Potter themed platform cafe and some small small hidden cafe that offering good coffees and pastries. In term of the stay, The Heaven Suite is definitely the top 1 in my list as it offers more than just a hotel room. Swimming pool is the highlight because it just literally facing the majestic mountain view in front!! If you even have more budget for the trip, Banjaran Hotsping can be a good option considering the hot spring is available inside the hotel as well as the cave restaurant could provide you a memorable experience like once in a life time!! Not far from Ipoh, Sitiawan is somewhere you can pass by as well!! I am sure that the Tua Pek Temple that located there will amaze!!

The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, with a casual and relaxed vibe. I ordered the grilled fish, which was cooked to perfection. The fish was flaky and tender, with a delicious smoky flavor. The accompanying sauces were a great complement to the fish. I also tried the seafood noodles, which were packed with flavor. The broth was rich and satisfying, and the seafood was fresh and plentiful. The prices at Restoran Makanan Laut Villa Sitiawan were very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of the food. The most famous site of sitiawan, the temple grounds is huge, and is located off the coast of straits of malacca. The entrance of the temple is filled with huge statues. Situated near to the shore and mangrove area this tourist attraction pulls many tourists to the spot. The temple is rather clean and windy. Free parking area available. There is no admission charge and a few souvenir shops and food stalls on site.
