Turaida Castle (Turaidas pils)
🌍✨ Recently, I've noticed more and more people in travel groups exploring the Baltic States. So, I want to recommend a less popular but absolutely worthwhile destination that I personally visited—
This castle, built in the 13th century, is one of the best-preserved medieval red-brick castles in Latvia. Initially, I didn't have high expectations, but once I stepped inside, I was truly amazed by its atmosphere. From the tower, you can enjoy an endless view of the Gauja Valley, a scene so breathtaking that you'll want to pause and take it all in 🌲⛰️
Honestly, while the castle itself is modest, its gardens are so beautiful that you won't want to leave! The trees, lawns, lakes, and statues are all arranged so thoughtfully, like a carefully composed painting. When sunlight filters through the treetops, I truly understood the meaning of 'peaceful moments' ☀️🍃
Walking through the grounds, everything slows down. The air is fresh, the scenery is gentle, and even the sound of the wind rustling through the leaves feels soothing. Every corner is photogenic and relaxing, making every shot look like a postcard 📸✨
👉 If you're planning a trip to Latvia, make sure to include this place in your itinerary! More than the castle itself, I fell in love with the tranquil yet vibrant atmosphere here. It's perfect for strolling, unwinding, and taking photos—it truly slows your heart down 🌿💛
