Uno Art🎨Festival👍🏻Japan🇯🇵Special Art Exhibition😗
Seto International Art Festival is back!! ️Go to Japan🇯🇵 and another new place🫣
You can start from Okayama Uno Port🙈 Not only can you see the unique islands in the Seto Inland Sea, but you can also see the artworks during the exhibition❤️
However, Uno Harbor has accumulated quite a few permanent art 🎨 works!! ️ Even if it is not during the exhibition period you can still visit
Visitors can experience Japan 🗾 the marine style full of literary and artistic atmosphere 👌🏻👌🏻
It is a very unique experience in Japan🇯🇵
Incidentally, there is an artist-designed sightseeing train La Malle de Bois from Okayama to Uno you can sit but there are very few shifts so you can't sit on it 🥹 and you can try it when it's time ☺️ However, you can take a picture with the license if you can't sit
From Uno Port sweep the various small islands in the Seto Inland Sea have different routes and boat types to choose from😛 If it is peak season, you have to buy tickets in advance🫢
Before taking the boat, you can take the time to see the artworks around Uno Port 😗😗 The artworks around Uno Port have their numbers 👍🏻 They are un01 to un08 🫶🏻 Several artworks can be easily viewed by walking 😝 about 15-30 minutes before boarding the boat is ok 🫢
This attraction can be arranged on the same day we go to Kodoshima 🤣 no need to take a special car 😗 so it is much more convenient to arrange the trip

Description-From the first parking lot of Ushimado Olive Garden, slowly climb up the walking path and you will see an observatory overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. See the small islands, feel the beauty and take pictures. If you want to spend a relaxing time, go to the cafe on the 2nd floor of the olive shop and enjoy the beautiful scenery and delicious coffee. Also, from the top of the mountain, you can see the floating islands of the Seto Inland Sea for the first time, including Shodoshima.
❖ The park regularly holds events, so if you are interested, please check the website. In addition, every year on Saturday, October 4th, the Ushimado Olive Harvest Festival is held, and many tourists come to harvest and taste the freshly pressed olive oil. There is also a bell of happiness that is said to come true if you make a wish and ring it three times. The tour ends around 5pm. I highly recommend to go there, have a nice trip.🫶

#tripaway in Bizen Osafune Japanese Sword Museum we can see various kind of katana of different sizes, shapes, and design engraved on it. There are also exhibition sections which emphasis on the history of Okayama katana, the process of katana making and Katana replicas. It is interesting that each katana is made differently in different areas. The Okayama katana focuses on the sharp blades but flexible at the same time. We can also watch the katana making.

Ushimado Olive Garden: A Relaxing Olive Journey in "Japan's Aegean Sea"
Located in Setouchi City, Ushimado Olive Garden is a breathtaking spot often referred to as "Japan's Aegean Sea" for its stunning views of the sea and sky. The olive groves spread across the hilltop, combined with the blue hues of the Seto Inland Sea, create a scene that feels like an overseas resort 🌊🌿✨.
When you visit, you'll be greeted by a soothing breeze and the gentle aroma of olives, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The view from the observation deck is spectacular, with islands dotting the sea and a gradient of colors in the sky that will leave you mesmerized. It's perfect for couples looking to unwind or solo travelers seeking a moment to connect with nature 💑👤.
The garden also features a café and shop, offering a variety of souvenirs such as olive oil and skincare products. I personally enjoyed a luxurious moment savoring olive-flavored soft serve ice cream while sitting on a bench and gazing at the sea 🍦📸.

In winter, they also serve large fried oysters… I definitely want to come back for those 🦪♡

Okayama Trip 🚗 | A detour to return to your childhood! Japan's No. 1 candy paradise
#0 yen trip
While driving around Okayama, we stopped by "Japan's No. 1 Candy Store." The large store is lined with nostalgic candy, and even adults can't help but get excited! My foreign friend was also very excited, asking, "What is this?" and "This is cute!", and before we knew it, we had filled our baskets with candy. It felt like we were back in our childhood, and the time we spent choosing candy became a travel memory. There are many types of candy, so it's a fun place just to look at them. In a retro atmosphere, it was a special detour spot where people of all ages and borders could have fun. It's a heartwarming experience that we highly recommend during your drive in Okayama.

Beautiful
Beautiful hotel right next to the beach. Although there are not many shops around, it is really peaceful and beautiful. 💕
This submerged pension village is an abandoned building in Ushimado.
The ruins are commonly known as the "Submerged Pension Village of Ushimado".
A 5-minute drive from the Setouchi City Museum of Art.
Near the Shikanin Post Office intersection.
You can see it by following the sign for Pension Village.
Unfortunately, it was cloudy in Okayama, the land of sunshine.
It may have made the place feel a little more deserted?
It's a deserted place, so it's better to go with someone at night.
I couldn't find a road nearby, so I couldn't get closer than 50m. What a shame💦

Fukuoka Castle Ruins
Fukuoka Castle Ruins is a must-visit for history lovers! While the castle itself no longer stands, the remaining stone walls and structures give you a sense of its former grandeur. The area is located within Maizuru Park, which makes for a perfect stroll, especially during cherry blossom season. Walking through the ruins, you can spot remnants of gates, turrets, and walls, all with informative signs explaining their history. The view from the top of the ruins is spectacular—you get a great panoramic view of Fukuoka city. It’s a peaceful place to escape the city noise, and it’s free to visit! While there aren’t many actual buildings left, the historical significance and the beautiful park setting make it well worth the visit. I’d recommend bringing a camera, especially in the spring. If you love history and scenic walks, this is a great place to explore!

Floating hotel on the Seto Inland Sea in Guntû, Japan
Guntû Floating Hotel is Japan's first floating hotel. Since her first voyage in 2017, Guntû has become a hotelier’s wish list item.
·
The hotel was designed by the famous Japanese architect Yasushi Horibe, creating a refreshing living space. The azure blue of the Seto Inland Sea is brought into the cabin, making it like a Japanese-style inn floating on the sea. Guntû has a total of 19 suites, all with private terraces, and mid- to high-end rooms also have open-air baths.
·
Guntû's rates include meals, activities and airport pickup. The ship will provide a rich variety of seafood and Western food. You can also wear the Yukata provided in the room, face the sea, and leisurely enjoy a glass of sake or Japanese tea. On the second deck you will find a spa with sauna and gym, or you can enjoy sunrise yoga in the morning.
·
Guntû has more than a dozen routes, divided into western, central and eastern routes, you can choose according to your preferences. The Western Route passes Miyajima, Kurahashima, and Kusatsunajima; the Central Route travels between Kashima and Osakikamijima; and the Eastern Route crosses the Oseto Ohashi Bridge and explores the main island or the art and agriculture of Shodoshima.

[Okayama Prefecture/Ushimado] A stylish cafe in an olive garden

I went to one of Kinoshita Shoten's affiliated stores in the Ushimado Olive Garden.

[Okayama Prefecture/Ushimado] A submerged pension village that seems to have been left behind by time
Okayama Prefecture 🫧 Ushimado
📌 Submerged Pension Village (former Green Farm site)
A place that seems to have been left behind by time
A strange sight that suddenly appears when driving along the coast of the Seto Inland Sea
The area was originally a salt field, but was redeveloped as a resort area, and a leisure facility was built.
Due to the nature of the ground, drainage was essential, and drainage was carried out when the facility was open, but
when the leisure facility was closed, rainwater gradually accumulated, and over the course of several years, it became this submerged state.
There are many water birds in the area, and now it seems to be changing from a place for humans to a place for water birds.
