It is a beautiful temple and a famous viewpoint of Nong Khai. There is a Skywalk with a 16-meter-high glass walkway that extends out to allow us to see the view of both sides of the Mekong River, which will give us a panoramic view of Nong Khai City, the Mekong River, Sangthong City and Laos. If you are lucky, you may also see the sea of fog. There is a rule for visiting that is to wear shoes provided by the temple without any charge. But there is a donation box for you to make merit, depending on your faith.

⭐️⭐️Tham Din Phiang is a place with stories and legends about the Naga. Inside the cave, there is always moisture and there are holes that you can pass through. There is also a point that connects to the Mekong River. Villagers believe that this cave used to be a route for the Naga to travel to the underworld. Inside the cave, there are neon lights of different colors that reflect the holes and cavities inside the cave, making it even more beautiful and amazing. This cave was discovered by accident in 1987 by a villager, Uncle Kamsing Kessiri, the owner of the area, who later donated the land to build a temple, which became Wat Tham Si Mongkhon and developed it into a famous tourist attraction for its natural wonders.

"Wat Hai Sok"...Nong Khai Province, located close to the Mekong River, looks majestic, as if anyone who comes here with a problem, when they come to pay homage and pray, their sorrow will be gone.
The bad things will pass, and they will be far away...flowing with the current of the Mekong River.
Wat Hai Sok...This name has been called by the locals for hundreds of years. According to the history passed down, this temple is located opposite Laos.
Therefore, Thais and Laos people have always traveled to visit each other. The relationship is always close, like they are made of the same piece of gold. #NortheasternTeam #WaitingForTheDayToTravel #WorldHeritage

Wat Pho Chai
#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck
Wan Pho Chai, Nong Khai Province is a royal temple that enshrines "Luang Pho Phra Sai", a sacred Buddha image of Nong Khai people. It is located on Prajak Road. It was originally an abandoned temple in Ban Phai. It was called "Wat Phi Phiu" because it was once used as a cremation site. There is no evidence of when it was first built. It is assumed that it was an important temple of Vientiane from the beginning.
Tharn Thip Waterfall
Tharn Thip Waterfall, located in Sangkhom District, Nong Khai Province, is a very convenient destination to visit. You can drive right up to the entrance of the waterfall, park your car, and walk less than 500 meters to reach the beautiful and serene waterfall. This place is not crowded, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in nature and spend ample time enjoying it. The drive to the waterfall offers scenic views of mountains and fields, perfect for photo stops. The lush greenery and the fact that Sangkhom District's road runs along the Mekong River make the drive enjoyable. You can leisurely drive along the river, enjoying the breeze and the views without getting bored. The scenery on both sides of the road is stunning, with mountains on one side and the Mekong River on the other. This road is truly impressive.
Places to visit in Nong Khai
#triptravelchina
This dry place is an island in the middle of the Mekong River, formed by various shapes of rocks and colored with the shiny black sapphire. It stands out and is very eye-catching, scattered in the middle of the Mekong River, earning it the nickname “the Grand Canyon in the middle of the Mekong River”. We chartered a long-tail boat, and the driver took us to each stop. We walked along the rocks, and there were many beautiful angles.
Nong Khai sea of fog
Winter is my favorite season.
And now, Nong Khai is colder than every year.
Phu Huai Isan is the destination of this trip.
And I was very lucky that the day I went to see the sea of fog came as planned.
For those who are looking for a place to see the sea of fog that is easy to travel to,
I recommend Phu Huai Isan, Nong Khai. You can take a car to get there.

For accommodation, we stayed at Chanpha Homestay, the same place.
The accommodation is on the banks of the Mekong River. There are many types of rooms at a reasonable price.

Phu Huai Isan
Every year, the cold wind comes, I have to go hunting for the sea of fog in Sangkhom District. I don't know why, whether it's my friends or my brothers, I still find a reason to go. This year is the same as always. Pork pan, fresh shrimp, food, barbecue, drinks, let's go! Phu Huai Isan is a small mountain that has its charm in traveling. To travel up to see the sea of fog here, we have to ride a local's e-taek car up, which can be picked up at the tourist service area. It takes about 20 minutes, and the round trip price is 80 baht. We will reach the top of the mountain. I want to say that we have to take a chance with the fog. I didn't get it every time, but even if I didn't get the fog, it was still beautiful because on the top of the mountain, we can see the view of the mountains, overlapping beautifully. You can say that you can see as far as the eye can see.

This time, I stayed at a newly opened accommodation in a minimalist style on the banks of the Mekong River that was just recently completed.

Phu Huai Isan
Phu Huai Isan, another charm of Isan
“Who would have thought that the entire trip cost only 500 baht?”
Phu Huai Isan, Nong Khai Province, Unseen Mekong Basin, Isan. Hey, are you confused? What is Phu Huai Isan? It has a strange name. Are you confused? Let me be confused. Haha. Come on, today I will take everyone to get to know and see another beauty of my province. In this cold weather, we can’t escape the mountains. That’s right, today I will take everyone to hunt for the sea of fog. That place is Phu Huai Isan, a popular place to see the sea of fog right now. And most importantly, the fare to go up there is only 60 baht.
…………………………………………………………………………
Today I will take you to get to know another side of my province. Most importantly, it promotes community tourism.
Many people may forget about nearby places when visiting the sea of fog. I am the same. Before, traveling in Nong Khai was never on my mind. Until I thought, why don’t we introduce the places to visit in our province for others to know? That’s what made me fall in love with my province until today. Do you believe that? This trip is a trip that I really intended to go on. I finished work at 4:30 p.m., which was almost dusk, plus the distance from my workplace is about 180 kilometers from Ban Muang, Sangkhom District, where Phu Huai E-San is located, but it wasn't an obstacle for me at all. Today, I will present a trip to Nong Khai that you can travel to in just 1 night.
……………………………………………………………………………
- Phu Huai E-San is located in Ban Muang Subdistrict, Sangkhom District, Nong Khai Province, only 90 kilometers from Nong Khai City. It was just discovered in the past 2-3 years, and most importantly, here you will get to travel in a local style.
- The main thing to prepare for a trip here is to check the temperature carefully. An easy way to do this is to type it into Google. If there is a lot of humidity, there will definitely be fog.

I did enjoy this small but impressive, glass Sky-walk (with expansive views of the breathtaking Mekong River out to neighbouring Lao PDR) at Wat Pha Tak Suea, in the province of Nong Khai, Northeastern Thailand.
You'll have to pay 20 bahts for some shoe wrap if you want to step out on the Sky walk….
Wat Pha Tak Suea is also a lovely place to visit with the naga and nagi guarding it’s entrance…..
