#Seoul Itinerary
A one-day trip to Samseong-dong in Gangnam District, Seoul, made me fall in love with this vibrant corner! From the bustling streets in the early morning to the reluctant farewell at night, this journey was like a warm surprise party. The fashionable charm of Coex Mall, the underwater wonders of Coex Aquarium, and the tranquility and ancient charm of Bongeunsa Temple make every moment exciting. Follow my footsteps and feel the warmth of this city together! 🌟
Arrive at Samseong Station at 09:00, take Subway Line 2 to Samseong Station, Exit 5 leads directly to Starfield Coex Mall, the transportation is surprisingly convenient. In the morning, I ordered a hot latte and toast at Coffee Smith, and sat by the window watching people coming and going. I felt warm in my heart, as if it was the beginning of a happy day.
10:00 Starry Sky Library, full of literary and artistic atmosphere. After breakfast, I headed straight to the Starfield Library in the middle of Coex Mall. A 13-meter-high wall of books and 50,000 books come into view, the sun shines through, and the atmosphere is quiet and dreamy. I casually flipped through a magazine and felt this free and open literary paradise. It was an unexpected surprise during my trip!
11:00 Coex Aquarium, the underwater world is amazing. Walk a few minutes to the Coex Aquarium (10:00-20:00, adult ticket is about 32,000 won), and you will be stunned by the scene in front of you as soon as you enter! There are tropical fish, underwater tunnels, sharks swimming overhead, as well as sea otters and penguins, which are full of childlike fun. The 16 themed areas made me linger, and the feeding show was the highlight.
13:00 Lunch at the food court, a feast for your taste buds. After visiting the aquarium, I ordered some bibimbap at the food court. The aroma of sesame was so strong and paired with iced lemon tea, I felt extremely happy. There are many choices here, from Korean fried chicken to sushi. Watching the people around you laughing and playing, the simple joy of traveling arises spontaneously.
14:30 Shopping at Coex Mall is fun. After eating, I browsed the more than 300 stores in Coex Mall. From Korean cosmetics to cultural and creative items, I bought lipstick from "ETUDE HOUSE" and a notebook from "ARTBOX". The ocean-themed walkway has a novel design, making shopping a pleasure.
16:30 Bongeunsa Temple, history and tranquility. A 10-minute walk takes you to Bongeunsa Temple (09:00-18:00, free), an ancient temple dating back to 794 AD that is surrounded by tall buildings yet retains its tranquility. The wooden buildings and gardens made me slow down my pace, and my heart instantly calmed down as I listened to the chanting in the distance.
17:30 Afternoon tea, a sweet ending. Back near Coex, I ordered mango slush at "Sulbing". The cool and sweet taste perfectly cured the fatigue of the day. As the sky gradually darkened and the lights in Samseong-dong came on, I was infected by the enthusiasm here and felt more attached to Seoul.
Ends at 19:00, leaving a lasting impression. I took the subway Line 2 back from Samseong Station. The night view flashed outside the window. Although my feet were sore, my heart was full. From the bustle to the quietness of this day, every moment is precious.
The transportation is super convenient! Subway Line 2 Samseong Station (Exit 5, 6) or Line 9 Bongeunsa Station (3-minute walk from Exit 7), T-money cards are easily available. The cost was about 60,000 KRW, which was great value! Samseong-dong tells me with its diverse charm that traveling is about feeling the heartbeat of a city. Come and unlock this surprise! 💖
