This ski resort has 4 large and 5 small ski resorts. Excellent snow conditions and plenty of sunshine. The high altitude (between 1,800 and 3,000 meters) and the towering mountains that are beyond the growth line of most trees create extremely wide and unobstructed high-quality ski trails. Switzerland’s longest glacier ski run is a bonus. It is the host of two Winter Olympics, four World Alpine Ski Championships and many other large-scale international winter sports events.
