Spring 2018, HOTEL. GIOBERTI near Rome Station.
Staying at a hotel near Rome Terminal in Italy, we had wine and pizza at the Night Café Terrace for dinner.
It was Golden Week in Japan, so it was the end of April to the beginning of May, but in Rome, it was hot during the day and surprisingly cold at night, so it was chilly in just a long sleeve.
The night cityscape with trams running and bustling tourists was very beautiful, like Van Gogh's "Night Café Terrace at Night," and it was a lot of fun.
The restaurants were quite expensive everywhere, so we ate on the terrace at night and saved a little.
Unlike Japan, eating out is just expensive, and even at the market, sandwiches and other light meals were expensive, so we decided to have dinner at the Night Café Terrace.
Other than the food, the prices were pretty high, and although I try to save money when traveling abroad, even lunch at an ordinary restaurant was quite expensive, on par with the lunch courses at Japanese hotels.
To make up for the expensive lunch, I tried to keep my food expenses down a bit and had dinner at a cafe terrace, but on the contrary, it was a lot of fun and became a good memory of my time in Rome.
