Changshan Bridge Pavilion's Dakeng Waterfall is one of the countless waterfalls in Quzhou, but this one showcases the beauty of nature's pairing to perfection. The drop is not immense, yet the deadwood and green leaves of the primeval forest complement the light blue water, creating an immediate sense of a dark willow and bright flowers, making both landscape and portrait photography exceptionally stunning!

Quzhou is about to host Zhejiang Satellite TV's 📺New Year's Eve Concert🎤. When I was making travel guides📜 online, I saw a beautiful B&B and decided to explore the area for my kids in advance. The B&B is located in a valley⛰, surrounded by green mountains🎋, and the air is very good. We tried Quzhou Bamboo Shoots, stir-fried with tender pork, and Quzhou Rice Noodles 🍜 which were hearty and flavorful. The street is lined with old shops and buildings, offering a fantastic atmosphere and plenty of photo opportunities in between bites 📸 📍East Gate Street, Qujiang District, Quzhou City We visited Jiangnan Park, a peaceful park filled with cherry blossoms 🌸 that create a pink canopy along the walking paths. We strolled down the Cherry Blossom Avenue 🌳 , capturing photos of the delicate petals drifting in the breeze 📸 The best time for photos was between 3 PM – 5 PM, when the soft afternoon sunlight highlighted the beauty of the blossoms ✨ 📍Jiangnan Park, Qujiang District, Quzhou City We took a short drive 🚗 to Yandang Mountain, a renowned scenic spot in Quzhou. Although famous for its dramatic landscapes, it also has spots where cherry blossoms bloom 🌸 creating an incredible mix of natural beauty. [Recommended Time] I suggest setting aside half a day to a full day. If you have plenty of time, take it slow and fully experience Yaowang Mountain's charm. If you're short on time, you can still enjoy its highlights in half a day. [Hiking Difficulty] On a scale of easy to difficult, it's only a 2-star hike (out of 5). The trails are gentle and not too tiring. Many children can easily complete the hike on their own, which is a blessing for families traveling with kids! [Hiking Routes] There are two routes for both ascending and descending the mountain. For example, if you ascend via Route A, you can descend via Route B. This allows you to enjoy different scenery and avoids the monotony of retracing your steps. There's also a unique glass sky bridge and a glass slide at the summit! You can choose to experience the thrilling sky bridge first and then slide down, feeling the rush of the wind. Note that there's an additional fee for the sky bridge and slide. The meal was going well, but towards the end, my family found a foreign object in their dish, something like the foil from a cigarette pack, which instantly ruined our appetites. [Star] Quzhou Confucius Temple, also known as the Confucius Temple of the Southern Sect, is one of only two Confucius Temples in the country. The entire building complex faces north and south, is in a vertical rectangular shape, and is laid out along three axes. Tangyan Hall is located in the center of Zesui Natural Village, Zesui Village (Tangyan). Covering an area of 450 square meters, it was originally built in the Ming Dynasty. Facing south, it features a three-hall, three-bay layout and served as the ancestral hall of the Xu family in the village. The hall has an eight-character gatehouse with a single-eave hip-and-gable roof. Four corbels adorn the gateposts and child posts, decorated with figures and floral patterns. The corbels on the gateposts feature upward-curving cloud patterns, while those on the child posts are decorated with lotus pedestals. Dougong brackets, with one dou and six sheng, support the eaves above the corbels. The front part of the front hall served as a stage, while the rear section housed rooms in the side bays. The central bay of the front hall is a hall structure with ten purlins supported by six columns. The two side bays of the front hall have a two-story structure. The upper floor has ten purlins and seven columns in a chuandou style, while the lower floor also uses seven columns. The front hall bears the inscription "Gongzhong Zhen." The ends of the eave purlin in the front hall are decorated with shrimp whisker patterns, while the center depicts figures from a theatrical story. The front courtyard is paved with granite slabs. Of the six original eave columns surrounding the courtyard, only two corbels remain, decorated with swirling lotus patterns. Two-story structures flank the courtyard, with the upper levels serving as viewing platforms for theatrical performances. The middle hall is also a hall structure. The central bay has nine purlins and four columns in a double-beam style, while the side bays have nine purlins and five columns in a single-beam style. A juanpeng ceiling is installed between the front eave columns and the inner columns. The columns are thick and large. Winter melon beams span the entire column spacing, while square beams, decorated with swirling cloud patterns, are used between the eave columns and the inner columns. Queti brackets, carved with floral patterns, connect the beams and columns. Dou brackets are placed at the top of each column, and the winter melon beams in the side bays are supported by dou brackets and cat beams. The rear courtyard is paved with granite slabs, with a cement floor in the center. The corbels on the eave columns at the four corners of the courtyard are missing. Currently under renovation, the courtyard features a "double lion, double deer" motif. The rear hall was built later, during the Republican era. It is also a hall structure, with ten purlins and five columns in the central bay, and ten purlins and six columns in the side bays. The beams are square and decorated with swirling cloud patterns, with a lion motif carved in the center. The front and middle halls use shaped column bases, with inverted bowls placed beneath the bases in the central bays. The rear hall uses drum-shaped bases without inverted bowls. The floors are all cement, the walls are brick, and the roof is a hard-mountain style with horse-head wall decorations. The building was designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit in 2006 and is currently undergoing comprehensive renovation by the Linhai Ancient Architecture Company of Zhejiang Province. Originally built long ago, the building is large in scale and uses large timbers, making it worthy of preservation. It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Zhejiang Province.

When the neon lights of the city fade into stars in the sky, we spiral up along the winding mountain road and encounter a rammed earth building in the cloud belt at an altitude of 600 meters - Rixishanzhong. This is not a traditional homestay, but an art container in the clouds that uses morning mist to make tea and moonlight to create scenery. Nearly a hundred species of native plants are planted in the courtyard. In the morning, you can see clouds and mist wandering over the bamboo sea when you open the window, and in the evening, you can watch the stars falling over the tea fields under the corridor. The textures of the six ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties are completely preserved. The walls are deliberately left with the mottled texture eroded by wind and rain over the past hundred years, and the wooden beams are reinforced with mortise and tenon joints. The interior is decorated with bamboo and linen fabrics and hand-made stoneware. The bathroom space is embedded with a whole piece of old bluestone, and the mirror frame is fixed with mountain vines.
