This magnificent archaeological landmark dates back to the 14th century and was once a center of education and religious studies. When I entered the school, the building’s magnificent architectural beauty took me by surprise. The overlapping arcades and bursting mosaic domes were dazzling. I explored the central courtyard and surrounding rooms, and it was amazing to imagine how the students lived and learned in this ancient place. Exploring this ancient school gave my trip a sense of Turkey’s rich Islamic heritage and history. It was fascinating to learn about this important archaeological site and dive into its rich history.

#EuropeanTravel Our visit to Zangeri in the Turkish city of Mardin was an interesting and unique cultural journey. You enjoyed discovering this wonderful site dating back to the Middle Ages. Upon arrival, you were impressed by the beauty of the school’s unique Ottoman architecture and exquisite artistic details. We enjoyed walking through the halls of the school and seeing the magnificent buildings and inner courtyards decorated with mosaics and artistic inscriptions. You saw the cultural and artistic exhibitions located within the school and learned about the history and culture of the area through performances and art galleries. This visit was a unique cultural experience that gave us the opportunity to discover the cultural and historical heritage of the city of Mardin, and the memories of this visit will remain engraved in our memories for a lifetime.

Zinciriye Madrasah was built in 1336, so thus building is almost 700 years old, yet it’s still there standing strong and beautiful! It is a perfectly authentic place that carries the traces of old culture and tradition and works actively. Beautiful architecture in Mardin. It was used as a study place before, now it’s more like a library and a tourist attraction place. You need to get rid of all the noise of the city and listen to the experience the beauty of its historical structure. You can also see the beautiful plain from here!
