Zhujiang Park is an absolutely stunning park located in the heart of the city of Guangzhou. It might seem surprising to find such a tranquil and pretty park among all the hustle and bustle of TianHe District. The park is open from 6:00am till 10pm (Monday to Sunday) Why come to the park? Zhujiang Park is filled with beautiful big trees, impressive flowers gardens, small waterfalls, easy to navigate walking paths, water features, small lakes and so much more! I love coming all year round as in the winter the leaves of some of the trees glow bright orange which reminds me of home (Canada) The park is kept in excellent condition and is easy to access by bike, taxi or subway. The nearest station is Liede Station. Zhujiang Park is an excellent place to have a picnic, walk with friends or just enjoy a day sprawled out on the grass in the sun. If you’re looking to eat more, not to worry, just a few hundred metres away are shopping centres and plenty of restaurants. But what really caught our eyes were the army sculptures scattered throughout the park. They seemed to tell a story of survival and sacrifice from the past, though we couldn’t quite catch the name. Unlike most calligraphy exhibitions I've seen, this was a joint exhibition by writer Cai Chongda and calligrapher Chen Yubi titled "Destiny." Calligrapher Chen Yubi extracted brilliant passages from two of Cai Chongda's works — "The Skin" and "Destiny" — and presented them in the form of calligraphy. There is only one standard for text — accuracy. Only with extremely accurate language can one touch the heart. A complete circuit around the park is approximately 1800 meters. I walked around the park counterclockwise to take in the beautiful scenery.
