Extremely Satisfied Accommodation Experience at Zhejiang Hotel During New Year's Holiday—
During the New Year's holiday, I visited Hangzhou to tour the West Lake. On the first day, I stayed on the east bank of the West Lake, enjoying the lakeside scenery and some cultural landscapes; on the second day, I planned to stay on the west bank of the West Lake, focusing on the beautiful combination of lake and mountains. After some comparison, I chose the Zhejiang Hotel located at No. 278, Santai Mountain Road.
This is a landscape hotel deeply integrated into the West Lake tourist area, rated four stars. The hotel itself is like a garden, with several buildings surrounded by lush mountains and forests, offering a very pleasant view. Upon entering the lobby, the space is wide and the style is elegant. Although it's not the glittering and extravagant type, it complements the characteristics of the Jiangnan landscape very harmoniously. The front desk staff, Xiao Han, was enthusiastic and efficient, quickly completed the check-in process, and thoroughly pointed out key matters. I was also upgraded to a better room type, which was very satisfying.
On the way to the room, the corridor windows offer views of the garden landscape, with the beautiful mountains and forests right beside you, making one feel refreshed and relaxed. The room is spacious, with a large ink painting of the West Lake on the wall above the bed. The overall decoration and furnishings of the room are quite elegant, and the facilities are complete. Especially the design of the bathroom, with separate spaces for washing, showering, and the bathtub, adds to the comfort. The hot water is also consistently good. Now advocating energy conservation and environmental protection, the room does not provide disposable toiletries, but you can call the housekeeping department for delivery, which is very responsive. Bathrobes and slippers are provided and are of good quality. It is worth mentioning that the room has a private balcony with views of the mountains and gardens. Sitting on the balcony to enjoy the view and sunbathe feels great, and it must be even more enjoyable in the spring and autumn when the temperature is more comfortable.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the '704 Project,' known as 'Hangzhou's First Imperial Palace,' is located within the hotel. The entrance and exit are near the hotel's back door, and it is now open for visits as a national defense mobilization education base. You can reach it by walking through the hotel's beautiful garden. Its underground part is complex and winding, and the villas on the ground are in the center of the hotel. Whether you are interested in history or just like to explore, it is worth visiting in person.
The hotel breakfast is also very good. The restaurant is on the split level of the lobby, with a large space and a pleasant environment. The dining tables are specially designed with a West Lake landscape view, and the food combines Chinese and Western styles, with a complete variety. The freshly cooked wontons and noodles at the cooking station are also good. Finally, I checked out quickly, concluding this accommodation experience. Overall, the experience at Zhejiang Hotel was very satisfying, with both hardware and software meeting the standards, especially the unbeatable landscape and full service awareness. I will definitely consider it as a priority when I visit Hangzhou again.
