The winter temperature in Ginza is a pleasant day
At the end of this winter, Tokyo gave me the best gift - several days of sunny weather. Especially on this morning, the sky was like a carefully polished sapphire, shining with gentle light between the high-rise buildings in Ginza.
Walking on the streets of Ginza, the morning air is still a little chilly, but you can already feel the coming of spring. The windows of the fashion boutiques have just lit up, and the elegant clerks are carefully sorting out the new products in preparation for the coming day.
The first stop was Sony Park, an innovative space located in the heart of Ginza. The original site was the Sony Building completed in 1966, which was converted into Sony Park in 2017. The new building, which is expected to be completed in 2024, will become a new landmark in Ginza. Today's Sony Park is a futuristic exhibition space where you can experience the latest technological products and interactive installations, giving you a glimpse into a miniature of future life.
We then visited the International Forum (Tokyo International Forum), a building designed by Rafael Viñoly that is a classic of modern architecture. The unique appearance of the building, which is interwoven with glass curtains and steel structures, looks like a giant spaceship anchored in Ginza. Walking into the building, the high ceilings and use of natural light create a stunning visual effect.
At noon, I came to Jujuen Yugen-tei in Yurakucho for lunch. Youxuanting is a sub-brand restaurant of Xuxuyuan. Although its prices are relatively affordable, it still maintains Xuxuyuan's consistent quality and service standards. Particularly worth mentioning is the restaurant's location, which is near JR Yurakucho Station. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tohoku Line trains passing by.
While enjoying the delicious barbecue, my eyes were often attracted by the trains passing by outside the window. Opposite the restaurant stand many iconic buildings, including the Marunouchi MY PLAZA building, a modern building that integrates office, shopping and other functions, and the Tokyo International Post Office building, a historic building built in 1931 that has witnessed Tokyo's development and changes over the past century.
While dining, you can occasionally see Shinkansen trains speeding by, forming an interesting contrast with the Yamanote Line running leisurely on the side. This dining experience is like a microcosm of the city of Tokyo - the coexistence of tradition and modernity, and the balance between fast pace and slow life.
Strolling through Ginza in winter, you can feel the unique charm of this city. As we are about to bid farewell to winter, the sun shines gently on the streets, adding a touch of poetry to every corner. Perhaps it was this kind of weather that made this trip to Tokyo particularly memorable. After leaving the restaurant, I looked at this vibrant neighborhood reluctantly, and began to look forward to the next reunion.
