Bangkok Travel Guide 🌟
I went to Bangkok for 4 days during the May Day holiday and played for 3 days. This is my third time traveling to Thailand. Here are some personal insights, I hope they will be helpful to you:
1. The current prices in Thailand are similar to those in China, and there is no longer the feeling of traveling on a budget like before the epidemic.
2. Thailand is very safe. As long as you don’t look for danger, danger won’t look for you. There are leaf shops, but they are not eaten by mistake.
3. It is very convenient to take a taxi outside the center of Bangkok. We lived in Sathorn and took a taxi to the old town and Chatuchak without encountering any traffic jams. Bangkok is not big, and it takes no more than half an hour to take a taxi to a farther place.
6. Prices in Chulalongkorn are relatively high, and most of the tourists are Chinese. Many snacks are not authentic. The first few sips of Milk Boy are okay, but the more you drink it, the more disgusting it becomes.
7. Massages are divided into roadside shops and chain brands. The latter require reservations, but the former do not. I recommend the Tongtai Massage at the Lotus Supermarket in Chinatown. It is cheap and the technique is up to standard.
8. The large massage parlor Yunomori focuses on the environment, while Health Land focuses on the cost-effectiveness, but neither of them has much advantage in terms of technique, which may be due to the technicians assigned to them.
9. Factory Coffee is mostly full of Chinese people and is overcrowded. I don’t recommend it.
10. For mango sticky rice, I recommend the one under the bridge at Dongluo Station. It is more worth trying than the popular ones, and the grilled shrimps next to it are also delicious.
11. Thonburi Seafood Market is definitely worth a visit, where you can eat as much screw shrimp as you want at a cheap price. Thais are good at controlling the heat of BBQ, but large mantis shrimps are not recommended.
12. Any Thai milk sold at a roadside stall tastes better than the branded Thai milk, which is too sweet.
13. For souvenirs, I recommend Big C or Gourmet Market. It’s more cost-effective to sign up as a member of the latter, and registration is very easy.
14. Hand-labeled tea is recommended to be packaged in powder form, which is economical and affordable. Individual paper bag packaging requires tools and ingredients to make and is not recommended.
15. Make a reservation at BKK Social Club, one of the world’s top 50 bars. Don’t believe that you can walk-in, otherwise you will be disappointed.
16. The handmade udon shop "Tsuru" in Central World is highly recommended. The Mentaiko cream udon is rich and chewy. Don't order a large portion or you won't be able to finish it. There is a service charge, about 100 per person.

Lovely traditional Japanese onsen at the central of Bangkok! The facilities are well maintained and the services is just amazing! Once you enter the promises you feel like you’re at Japan!
They have hot springs with different type of treatments, and also have clear instructions to how to maxis the benefits of onsen. We tried the aromatic oil massage as well and it’s just amazing!
Would definitely flight back to Bangkok just for the onsen & massage!

We were so happy that we found Yunomori Onsen! We were surprise that able to find such authentic onsen experience at Bangkok! From fixture, gardens, onsen and the food makes you feel like you’re at Japan!

I've heard of this Tom no Mori before, but I haven't been there in particular. So right the view of the hotel to see this building so Japanese? BEST SPA AT BKK!
We found this place accidentally, after we tried their massage we just keep on coming back here. Really love the Japanese-like onsen environment, very nice and relaxing.
The onsen is separated into male & female, the onsen area are quite big and you won’t feel crowded and it’s very clean!
There’s also a cafe within the property that serve good Japanese food. We have a great dinner here after our spa treatment!
Overall, the massage was alright, not spectacular but good enough to help you relaxing. I also like the restaurant. Good value for money compare to other spa at Bangkok! Highly recommended!

The latest onsen is 9 pm, and you can soak until 11 pm. No need to call to reserve, just walk in. It is perfect for people who like to go on the spot like us. Before going in, we have to change our shoes first. Choose a locker of your choice. After checking in, we will receive a bracelet for the locker in the onsen room. Then walk along the path and you will see the counter at the entrance of the onsen.
