Yongduam Rock
#koreatrip
This area is a place of volcanic rocks. Its shape is like a coral rock that resembles a dragon's head. There is a Korean legend, a dragon was thrown by the guardian goddess of the mountain in Korea because the dragon stole. The dragon's body fell into the sea, its head facing upwards.
Become the dragon's head stone. The surrounding conditions are very windy. Especially when it starts to get colder and windier in the afternoon towards night.
The road down from the car/bus parking lot, be careful when it's dark, it's prone to falling.

Visa-free Jeju Island, City Walk is great
Visa-free Jeju Island is perfect for a weekend trip with your girlfriends to shop and eat! So, make sure to save this City Walk in Jeju City!
Rainbow Coastal Road - namonamo Cafe - Yongduam Rock - Yongyeon (and Suspension Bridge) - Jeju Mokgwana - Chilseong-ro Walking Street - Dongmun Market
Rainbow Coastal Road is a colorful and popular photo spot where you can take fairy-tale-like pictures. Both locals and tourists love it. The road is quite long, so just walk a bit and take some photos 😜
namonamo Cafe is a very popular cafe and dessert shop. The interior is European-style, and the sea view is fantastic. You can order on the first floor and then find a seat upstairs. Remember to return the tray before you leave.
Next, head to Yongduam Rock. The basalt rock by the sea looks like a black dragon's head, and from certain angles, it indeed resembles one. You can walk down to the rocky area along the boardwalk, but be careful and walk slowly. You can taste seafood by the sea, and there are many local dessert shops and restaurants worth visiting on the east side after you leave.
Yongyeon is where the Han River water meets the sea. Walking on the suspension bridge is interesting, and the small valley is beautiful. The ancient "Night Boat in Yongyeon" was also quite famous.
The Gwangdeok Pavilion outside Jeju Mokgwana is very noticeable by the main road. You need a ticket to enter the area inside the Jinhae Tower, but this year, night visits from 18:00 to 21:30 are free every day except Tuesday.
Chilseong-ro Walking Street is an old commercial area in Jeju Island. There are alleys selling Hanbok and large pedestrian streets, making it a great place to stroll.
Finally, you must visit Dongmun Traditional Market. It is a must-visit spot for tourists, clean and tidy, with a wide variety of seafood, fruits, specialties, and night market food. It is a lively and popular place.

Yongduam Rock
#koreatrip
Yongduam Rock, like its name, is in the shape of a roaring dragon that looks like it is springing out from the ocean. When the wind and the waves are strong, it looks as if it might fly away to the sky. Its total height above water is 10m and the underwater portion of the body is about 30m long. If you gaze into Yongduam Rock during sunset, you’ll fall under the illusion that thedragon is actually writhing. In order to catch a good view of the rock, watching it from 100m west from the rock is most advisable.

Dragon Head Rock: A Great Spring Destination
Dragon Head Rock 용두암 is a landmark of Jeju Island, formed by a rock about 10 meters high that has been washed by the waves and eroded by the sea breeze over the years, creating a shape resembling a dragon's head, hence the name Dragon Head Rock. It is a natural masterpiece, constantly sculpted by the sea and weathered by the wind. From a distance, it looks like a dragon emerging from the sea. The scenery is beautiful and it's a great spot for walking and taking photos. Walking towards Yongyeon Cloud Bridge, you can also see airplanes taking off and landing. The Korean show 'Dad! Where Are We Going?' and various dramas have chosen this place as a filming location.
Transportation: Take the bus to Yongdam Roundabout Station and walk five minutes towards the sea.

Jeju Island free-and-easy travel recommendation, no need to be a commando
No need to be a commando, easily finish touring all the attractions in a day. If you want to see airplanes and the sea, just walk along the Olle trail in the morning. In Jeju's old city area, I spent a day visiting Yongduam Rock, Olle trail, ate delicious and hearty seafood noodles, visited Bye Jeju, went to Gwandeokjeong, Central Underground Street, and Dongmun Market.
I took a bus and got off near Yongduam Rock.
Yongduam Rock: It's a rock that looks like a dragon's head from below, actually, there's not much to see. Below Yongduam Rock, there are Haenyeo (female divers) selling freshly caught seafood, all eaten by Koreans. If you keep walking along Yongduam Rock, you can see Haenyeo diving into the sea. Just keep walking along the seaside towards the airport, as it's very close to the airport you can see airplanes coming all the time, and watch airplanes at a close distance.
Eating: 꽃길식당, a randomly discovered restaurant, all Koreans are eating there, it's a small shop, you can eat seafood noodles while watching the sea, there are eight or nine kinds of seafood noodles and fried pork cutlets. It's about the size of our small washbasin. There are pictures on the machine at the entrance, cash payment. The noodles are super hearty, look at my picture, it's all big seafood, underneath are hand-rolled noodles similar to Udon, slightly spicy but super delicious.
Bye Jeju: About fifty or sixty meters ahead of 꽃길식당, a two-story gift shop, very large. The second floor has floor-to-ceiling windows where you can stare at the sea, and also watch airplanes up close. The small gifts inside are also very cute. If you're hungry at noon, you can stroll around after eating, sit and rest, it's also super perfect.
Gwandeokjeong: From the above route, you can find a random bus stop to Gwandeokjeong, just about ten minutes, you can go and play, it feels like you can finish watching in half an hour, the underground passage at the main entrance of Gwandeokjeong is the entrance to Central Underground Street, all kinds of clothes and skincare products, coming out of Central Underground Street is Dongmun Market, just right to eat and drink at the night market in the evening!

Like a dragon plunging into the sea, the unique natural landscape - Jeju Island's Dragon Head Rock.
Yongdusan, located by the sea in Longtandong in the center of Jeju City, is a rock formed by the cooling of lava that erupted 2 million years ago. It is named Yongdusan because one end of the rock resembles a dragon's head. It is a symbol of Jeju tourism, the starting point of the coastal road, and also the most prominent rock on the west coast of Jeju Island. About 200 meters east of Yongdusan is a dragon pool, which is said to be a place where dragons play, hence its name. The pool, also known as Longyuan, has clear water that is visible to the bottom.
The best place to view Longtou Rock is on the west side of Longtou Rock, about 100 meters away from it. The scenery is even more spectacular when the waves are big, as if a giant dragon is roaring and jumping out of the sea. In the evening, the silhouette of Longtou Rock against the backdrop of the setting sun is exceptionally beautiful, as if presenting a vivid picture of a dragon ascending to the sky.
Longtouyan Scenic Area is very small, no tickets are required, it is a must-visit attraction for group tourists, and it is also one of the main destinations for tourists to take "I was here" photos. According to locals, this is a popular spot for Korean couples to come and fall in love in the summer, and many Korean dramas also feature scenes here.

A not-so-prominent "attraction" on Jeju Island's beach.
Dragon Head Rock is a rock on the beach of Jeju Island in South Korea that looks like a dragon's head from a specific angle. The volcanic rocks here are all black and have various pores on the surface, which are not very smooth, so you can still see other things if you look carefully. My friend saw a rock that looked like a sheep. This is a must-visit spot for various travel groups, and the parking lot outside is full of tour buses. However, you can just take a look at the rocks by the sea, and the playability is not very high. I think 15 minutes is enough for a visit. There are not many beautiful travel destinations in Jeju Island except for the Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, but it is still quite suitable for leisure travel.

Another reason to travel to South Korea: check in at the Dragon Head Rock, a 2 million-year-old landmark on Jeju Island.
Origin of the scenic spot:
Dragon Head Rock 🐲 is located on the coast of Longtan Cave in Jeju City, Jeju Island, South Korea. It is said to be a huge volcanic rock formed by the cooling of the lava of the Hanla Mountain ⛰️ 2 million years ago. It is named Dragon Head Rock because of its resemblance to a dragon's head and the presence of rocks near the coast.
Reasons for recommendation 🈶:
✅The top of Dragon Head Rock resembles a dragon's head howling towards the sky, and is a symbol of Jeju's tourism industry.
✅Longtouyan and Longchi are good places to visit at night. At dusk 🌆, staring at Longtouyan in the sunset for a long time can really create an illusion of a dragon twisting and turning, which has been attracting many tourists to take photos 📸 and check in.
✅Longyuan Pool has clear water, surrounded by strange rocks and evergreen forests, forming a screen. It was once called "Longyuan Night Sail", and its night view 🎥 is enchanting.
Warm tips 🈶:
Jeju Island has many beaches 🏖️, all of which are free. You can set up your own "nest" on the beach with a tent ⛺ or mat and play all day, watching the sunset 🌇 while playing in the water. The feeling is just too nice.

The leading rock is in the center of Jeju, and the seaside of Longtan Cave is actually a piece of volcanic lava like a dragon. It is not far from the Jeju Airport, and it is not bad to stand on the beach.
In the field, the leading rock with a height of 10 meters and a length of 30 meters is really like a dragon that wants to fly. This is the volcanic lava cooled after the eruption of Jeju Island 2 million years ago. The leading rock is also Jeju Island. The symbol of tourism.

Longtouyan (Korean: ) is located on the coast of Longtan Cave in Jeju City, Jeju Island, South Korea. It is a huge volcanic rock formed by the cooling of the Halla Mountain volcanic lava 2 million years ago. The faucet rock is 10 meters long and 30 meters high. Because it is shaped like a faucet and there are rocks near the coast, it is called the leading rock.
Legend has it that a dragon who lives in the Dragon Palace in the sea wants to ascend to heaven, but only the jade beads of the Halla Mountain spirit can be used. So, it tried its best to finally steal the jade beads of the Halla Mountain gods one day. But after it succeeded, it went to the beach, and when it was about to ascend to heaven, it was discovered by the gods, and an arrow hit the sea and fell into the sea. The dragon was resentful because he did not realize his desire to ascend to heaven. In the end, he became a dragon-shaped boulder in his struggle, only revealing a head on the sea, and he was sighing.
The leading rock has a dragon pool about 200 meters to the east. It is said to be the place where dragons swim, so the name Longchi is also called Longyuan. The pool water is crystal clear. It is a symbol of Jeju tourism, the starting point of the coastal road, and the most prominent piece of rock on the west coast of Jeju Island.
Longtou Rock and Longchi are also good places to go for a night out. The top of the leading rock, such as the fascinating faucet of Yangtian, is a symbol of tourism in Jeju. At dusk, gazing at the leading rock in the sunset for a long time, it really produces the illusion of a dragon. Longyuan pool water is clear. The rocky rocks and evergreen forests around the pool are surrounded by screens. In the old days, they were called Longyuan Night Sails, and their night scenes were fascinating.
