Yokohama Chinatown! There are many buffets ranging from 1980 to 4000 yen! The food options vary depending on the price range! I love mapo tofu, so I chose one! I think it's quite good, but it's still cheaper than a buffet. I ordered three dishes for about 5000 yen: two types of mapo tofu, pickled fish, and three side dishes. To each his own!

Next, I wandered into Motomachi Park, where rows of shady trees and winding stone steps resembled an old photograph quietly unfolding. Strolling along Yamate Hon-dori, I passed by the elegant British House and the cozy Yamate 234 House. These century-old buildings with white walls and red roofs hold memories of foreign cultures. Turning a corner, I arrived at Motomachi Shopping Street. Though the street is not long, each shop has its own unique charm. A casual stroll and a cup of coffee here felt wonderfully pleasant. Finally, I ventured into the bustling Yokohama Chinatown, where enticing aromas filled the air. I grabbed a char siu bun or a pineapple cake to enjoy while walking, like a mini adventure in the city. This day wasn’t about rushing through an itinerary; it was about following my heart and letting the old streets and scenery of Yokohama slowly make their way into my soul.

Be sure to save room to try: xiaolongbao (the kind that’s freshly steamed and hot), pepper cakes, Hong Kong-style pineapple buns with ice cream, pan-fried buns, and the many buffet restaurants. The older lady was sweet & walked me through a small prayer & the overall process 🙏🏼 It's a little bigger than the other temple right up the street. Both are stunning & picturesque nonetheless. 👏🏼 Beautiful and well worth the entrance fee. They teach you how to properly pray. It’s a small temple but very beautiful.
