Brought the fam for a spontaneous brunch and ended up lingering way longer than planned. Yin’s had enough space for our toddler to run around (safely!), and we sat at the outer mall-side tables that gave us a good view and some fresh air.
We shared their apple pie and lemon cake while sipping on sparkling kombucha. The light flavors were perfect for kids and adults alike. It’s rare to find a café that keeps both health-conscious adults and cake-loving kids happy. This one’s definitely going into our KL weekend list.

Stylish, calming and full of character

Yin’s Sourdough has a look that’s hard to forget—deep green walls, statement lighting, and curved velvet seats that make it feel a bit retro and a bit modern at the same time. I sat in a quiet corner with a cup of kombucha and their pandan gula merah cake—and it felt like time slowed down.
If you’re the kind of person who notices café interiors as much as the food, this one will charm you with its aesthetic. It’s also a great spot for journaling, catching up on a book, or even people-watching. Definitely a café with personality.

That Chocolate Cake Hit the Spot!
#kualalumpurtrip
I’m still thinking about the chocolate cake I had at Yin’s Sourdough Bakery. It was rich, soft, and had the perfect balance of sweet and slightly bitter. It came on the cutest blue-patterned plate that made it look extra pretty! I paired it with a warm drink and just enjoyed the slow moment. Sometimes, a simple dessert can lift your whole mood—and this cake totally did that for me. Highly recommend it if you’re a chocolate lover like me!
