Although this old station is not as grand and magnificent as many other stations across the country, it always gives a sense of simplicity, elegance, and grandeur. The font of the characters 'Taiyuan Station' is also different from most stations nationwide, giving a unique first impression. This symbolizes the quality of Taiyuan, a city that combines classical and modern elements. I have seen Taiyuan Station under the morning sunlight and in the evening when the lights first come on. Yingze Park is named for its location outside the Yingze Gate of the ancient city of Taiyuan. It borders Yingze Street to the north, Qingnian Road to the east, Nansha River to the south, and Jiefang South Road to the west; it is a large comprehensive park in Taiyuan City and also one of the important places for the people of Shanxi Province to rest, visit, gather during festivals, and engage in cultural and entertainment activities. The landscape of Yingze Park is mainly based on plant landscaping, combined with the traditional pattern of landscape gardens, using classical elements and traditional gardening techniques, taking into account the landscape style, traditional culture, and the needs of citizens for park visits, forming a vibrant and memorable urban park. The park has more than 420,000 plants of over 180 varieties, complemented by lakes, hills, dense forests, rockeries, fountains, etc., and is also equipped with more than 12 garden buildings such as bridges, corridors, pavilions, and ancient architectural clusters. After a summer business trip to Taiyuan, I was fortunate to visit Yingze Park on a rainy afternoon, where I experienced the beauty of mountains, rivers, pastoral scenes, forests, and gardens, all within one park. I listened to a live performance by a singing group and spent a delightful afternoon 😊

The renovated Yingze Park is really lovely! It has the charm of Suzhou gardens, with many cultural landscapes and a greater variety of flowers. Currently, there are peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, Yulei plums, forsythias, and winter jasmines in bloom. Soon, crabapples and green peaches should also bloom. It would probably take about 2 hours to take a leisurely stroll through the entire park. There are peony gardens, rose gardens, tulip gardens, and wisteria trellises, but these flowers will probably bloom later. There's a dock and pleasure boats, and the lake is quite large. There were no boats on the lake when I visited, so I'm not sure if the boat rides are not yet available. I heard that the old elephant slide is still there, but I couldn't find it this time.
