Yesinn @YMT Youth Hostel, accommodation for those on a budget.
#HongKongTravel
This was my first time traveling to Hong Kong, and most of the accommodations are usually expensive. However, I wanted to find a place to stay at an affordable price for sleeping, because I was just going to sleep there. During the day, I spent most of my time traveling and spending time outside. When I got back to my accommodation, it was already late, so I just looked for a place to sleep. A small room was fine, as long as it was clean and odorless, and had a private bathroom. As for the amenities, I wasn't too bothered. I kept scrolling and found Yesinn @YMT Youth Hostel. I booked it through Trip.com for 3,599 baht for 2 nights for 2 people, which was a very good price. However, when I booked it, I was a bit worried whether it would be as advertised or not. I just had to hope until the day I went.
🛏️Review of the room I booked was the Twin Beds type, which I got on the 12th floor of the building. When I opened the door, the air conditioner was very cold, and I was greeted by a bunk bed, a table with 2 clothes racks, and a green-black room color scheme. The large window had a view of the building, making the room not too cramped. The bathroom was rectangular and narrow, in the Hong Kong style. Big people might have a hard time with this type of bathroom, because it was really narrow. If you turn a little, you'll be stuck in your body. But for usable, not thinking much, focusing on taking a shower and then getting dressed in a room with space for us to use and acceptable at this price. In terms of room amenities, there are toothbrushes, soaps, shampoos, glasses, towels, hair dryers and plugs that can be plugged in from Thailand without using a plug converter. Very convenient, but we also brought a converter just in case. The accommodation has staff to clean every day. I like it very much. But the accommodation does not have a bidet, which is normal for hotels abroad. And there are no foot towels. If anyone is not convenient but wants to stay, you can bring your own foot towel.
Travel
🚌This time, we traveled by bus line A21 from the airport. Get off at Man Ming Lane, Nathan stop, about 10 stops. It took about 1 hour from the airport. Then cross the street to the other side. Open the map, follow the map, and you will find a building with the name of the Hostel. Go into that building and press the elevator to the 2nd floor. It will be the Reception to check in and you will get a key card. There is no deposit here. The staff can communicate in English well. It's not difficult to listen. There are many restaurants in the accommodation area. There is a night market that you can walk all the way to Jordan Mong Kok.
Ⓜ️ This accommodation is near MTR Yau Ma Tei. You can leave the airport by AirPort Express. Get off at Hong Kong Station and change lines to Yau Ma Tei Station.
⭐️This accommodation is in a hostel style. The reception area is also a shared kitchen. There are utensils for you to use. You can bring your own food to cook. There is a refrigerator for storing things. There is also a vending machine for drinking water or other drinks. And we saw many foreigners cooking their own food. But we focused on eating outside because we wanted to eat at many restaurants.
💲About 1,700-2,000 baht, depending on the time, for a Twin Beds room. But there are also dormitory rooms that are cheaper. And there are also Family Rooms for groups of people.
