Beautiful Autumn of Yeongpyeongsa Temple
#fallingseason
Unlike a lot of other chrysanthemum festivals in Korea, these ones are all naturally planted and aren't arranged in some artificial way. It feels peaceful with the naturally planted white flowers all around the side of the mountain.
Yeongpyeongsa Temple is a branch of Magoksa Temple and has six traditional buildings and three hermitages. It is considered to have good feng shui because its location is similar to that of a dragon.
There is also a temple stay program for Yeongpyeongsa. If you can, I suggest going there sooner rather than later.

The rows of crocks are wonderful. Yeongpyeongsa Temple is also famous for traditional foods such as bamboo salt soybean paste and cheonggukjang. The pastries produced under the brand name "The True Taste of Sansa" are made by bamboo salt, water, wind, and sunlight that have been fermented and aged for more than 10 years. In particular, more than 500 crocks that are more than 50 years old make a deeper taste of the intestine. You can take a leisurely tour of Yeongpyeongsa Temple in about an hour to follow Gujeolcho Flower. It was a little late, but it was enough to appreciate the feast of gujeolcho flowers.

Another cultural code representing Yeongpyeongsa Temple is the Falling Flower Festival. It is said that the technology of falling flowers is to maintain the embers falling like waterfalls for a long time. In the temple, it is said that fall flowers were hung on the New Year's Eve, early April, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Eve. It is said that the fall flowers of the temple flowed into the private sector and were held as a ritual to prevent the celebration. I didn't see the fall flowers held during the festival. The video clip of the person who has been there is truly spectacular. These days, many local governments are showing falling flowers.

Yeongpyeongsa Temple is also famous for its magnificent flowers. In spring, azalea azalea golden cysts and double cherry blossoms bloom, and the petals blown by the wind are spectacular. In summer, jade flowers, hydrangeas, and nari flowers, in autumn, Korea's representative native wildflower arbor plant is Jicheon. The area around the pavilion was majestic with the flowers of the ancient Korean herb planted in the pot. Wherever there is soil, there is definitely gujeolcho flower. The whole mountain is a flower palace of Gujeolcho. The peak period of gujeolcho flowers has passed.

This past weekend, I went to the white Siberian chrysanthemum festival at Yeongpyeongsa Temple in Sejong. On Saturday there was a nakhwa nori fireworks display that I sadly missed but I was able to see the flowers and the temple on Sunday. Even though I live close to the temple, it was the first time visiting there for me. It was actually quite pretty. It is not a very big temple, but the buildings are clean, and I like the layout. The white chrysanthemums, for which the temple is famous, were a nice touch, but I feel like it is worth visiting regardless of whether the flowers are in bloom. They are in full bloom now and I think you have a week or two to visit there before the flowers fade this year.
