This large mansion was built by Ye Kaihong, a wealthy businessman engaged in the sugar trade at the time, and his sons. There is an acrylic plate on the outer wall of the Octagonal Building, which records the historical background of the Octagonal Building. As you enter the gate, you will see a large stone tablet in front of you. This is a monument erected by the Japanese government on the 50th anniversary of its occupation of Taiwan (1943). The tablet is engraved with the words "The Remains of Prince Fushimi Sadanae and the Imperial Camp at Yanshui Port." I took a quick look at the outside of the building and it looked like there were still people living there. There were also introductions online saying that you can go inside to take pictures. When I was about to step in, a foreign worker suddenly ran over and said that this was my grandfather's home and that I couldn't go in during the epidemic. In the end, I could only take a few photos inside with my phone, and a few more photos in the yard before leaving and heading to the alley behind the octagonal building to continue exploring the history of Yanshui.
