2025 First Stop | Huizhou Family Travel Guide
| Huizhou Family Travel Guide. Our first stop in 2025 was Huizhou, Guangdong, where we had a great time with the kids! We did a lot of research before we left, and everyone said that the beach at Xunliao Bay is softer than the one at Shuangyue Bay. Since we had two kids with us, we made Xunliao Bay our main destination and Shuangyue Bay our secondary destination. It turned out to be a great plan! Now I'm sharing it with you👇
✈️【Transportation Guide】
It's very convenient to fly directly from Hangzhou to Huizhou. After arriving in Huizhou, I highly recommend renting a car. The attractions in Xunliao Bay and Shuangyue Bay are scattered, so driving gives you more freedom, and the scenery along the way is beautiful~
🏨【Accommodation Recommendations】
We stayed in an apartment at Sea World, and booked a first-line sea view room, which was only over 200 yuan per night for a two-bedroom apartment, which was very cost-effective! The room faces the sea, and you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves at night, which is very relaxing. The beach is right downstairs, so the kids can dig in the sand anytime, anywhere. The only downside is that there are fireworks at night, which can be a bit noisy.
🌟【Attractions】
🎈Moshizi Park: Recommended Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Free admission, the main expense is the parking fee. There is a shuttle bus at the entrance for 5 yuan per person, but it's not necessary to take it, as it's not far to walk along the beach. The park has fine sand, clear water, and huge rocks, making it a paradise for kids to play in the sand and water. However, there aren't many other activities to do.
🎈Gan Hai Park: Recommended Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Free admission, only parking fees are required. I didn't have high expectations for this place at first, as some people online said the water was dirty. But I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived, as the water was crystal clear, and I could see hermit crabs, catch small crabs, and collect shells, which was a lot of fun. The kids also had a great time digging in the sand.
🎈Turtle Bay: Recommended Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Turtle Bay is in Shuangyue Bay, about a 40-minute drive from Xunliao Bay. Tickets are 30 yuan for adults and 15 yuan for children aged 6-18. There is a sightseeing bus at the entrance for 5 yuan per person, which I recommend taking, as it's a long walk to the Turtle Museum and the Sea View Walkway. There is a beach inside, but it's made of small stones, which can be a bit uncomfortable to walk on. But the Sea View Walkway is a must-see, with stunning sea views and a refreshing sea breeze.
On this trip to Huizhou, the kids had a great time and the adults were able to relax. I highly recommend it to all parents, so bring your kids to Huizhou for a fun trip!
