- The layout of the ancient village is like a chessboard, with 15 horizontal lanes and 11 vertical lanes, as if you are in a "big chessboard", crisscrossing and orderly.
- There are 1 ancestral hall, 12 public halls, 2 family halls, and 2 study rooms, mainly Yin's ancestral hall, Kaiting public hall, and Xialing study room.
🎭Cultural heritage: Xixi Ancient Village inherits non-legacy projects such as "Dancing Phoenix" and "Handmade Agarwood", and also offers handmade folk experience and Ming Dynasty life experience activities in the village to promote the integration of non-legacy protection and cultural tourism industry.
🍱Food recommendation: There are various foods in the ancient village, such as lemon tea, milk tea, coffee, Hong Kong-style beef offal and other special delicious snacks, and there are also restaurants where you can taste authentic Cantonese cuisine, which will make you full.

Exploring Xixi Ancient Village in Dongguan: A Land of Fortune and Blessings Accumulated Over Time
🎇In Xiangshi, Liaobu, Dongguan, there lies Xixi Ancient Village, built during the Ming Dynasty, with over 530 years of history. Due to its gourd-like shape, it is honored as the 'Fortune and Blessings Ancient Village.' It is the largest and most well-preserved ancient village in the Pearl River Delta region!
🌟The layout of Xixi Ancient Village is ingeniously designed, modeled after the grid pattern of Beijing. More humanely, the village alleys are divided into three specifications based on width: large, medium, and small. The wide alleys are used for shops and vehicle passage; the medium-width alleys serve as firebreaks; and the narrow alleys are life-saving passages, allowing escape by supporting the walls in case of emergencies. Additionally, each alley has an open channel on one side, making it very convenient for rainwater and domestic water drainage.
😔Today, Xixi Ancient Village appears somewhat lonely and desolate, with weathered walls. However, the layout from over 500 years ago remains unchanged, with orderly arranged alleys and interconnected paths. Amidst the vicissitudes lies stability, and within the desolation hides tranquility. The ancient village is now gradually being developed, with some artistic shops moving in, though the commercial atmosphere is not yet strong.
🌈Travel Guide:
1. Each alley has its unique charm, each with its own characteristics. Especially in summer, you might encounter half-pond lotus flowers.
2. When night falls and the lights come on, the ancient village becomes even more charming.
