Even students can afford to stay at this hotel—it's truly exceptional.
I'm completely captivated by this Wuhan hotel! I'll definitely be back.
During my recent trip to Wuhan, I stayed at the Wuhan Xiangyang Marriott Hotel, which opened in 2023. I have to say, I really know how to pick a hotel! Newly opened hotels offer new facilities and excellent experiences, making for a comfortable stay.
📍 Prime Location: Situated in the heart of Wuhan, it's only a 15-minute taxi ride to Yellow Crane Tower, Wuhan University, and the Provincial Museum. Qingyuzui subway station is right downstairs, offering direct access from Wuhan High-Speed Railway Station. There's even a direct passage to the hotel's underground parking, making subway travel incredibly convenient.
🛏️ Room Layout: All rooms are located on high floors, providing breathtaking views of the two lakes. We stayed in a room with an East Lake view, featuring panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows and stunning views, especially the gorgeous sunset in the evening. Standard rooms range from 40–50m², offering ample space even for families with children. The layout is classic and comfortable.
🧹 Soundproofing and Cleanliness: The rooms are quiet with excellent soundproofing, and the cleanliness is impeccable, ensuring a peaceful and worry-free stay.
🛌 Amenities: All rooms are equipped with Dyson appliances, which is a fantastic feature. The Executive Lounge on the 61st floor offers afternoon tea and dinner. Afternoon tea includes savory snacks, desserts, and six kinds of fruit, with the tuna toast being a popular choice, replenished quickly. Dinner features a wide variety of dishes, including seasonal soups, sweet soups, two meat dishes, two vegetarian dishes, and special dishes on Mondays. Two main course options are available, and the drinks area offers a wide selection of well-made beverages. The viewing balcony outside the lounge is a highlight, offering stunning views of Wuhan city bathed in the orange glow of sunset. The hotel restaurant's breakfast includes local Wuhan snacks, with delicious hot dry noodles and Xiangyang beef noodles. Western-style bread, cakes, and scrambled eggs are also available, along with pour-over coffee in the coffee area. The service is attentive and thoughtful.
💰 Average Cost: Around 1,000, which is a bit pricey, but considering the view and amenities, it's worth it.
💗 Other Tips: The floor-to-ceiling windows offer great natural light but can make the room a bit warm. Children's bathrobes, slippers, and toothbrushes with toothpaste are provided, but cribs, children's toilet seat covers, and children's toiletries are not. The hotel entrance is located at the back of the office building. Check-in can be busy, but with all four service counters open, the process is relatively efficient. The lobby lighting is beautiful. There are only four elevators, two of which serve the higher floors, but they are fast.
Overall, this hotel is currently one of the best Marriott properties in Wuhan. Its prime location in the city center, high-floor views, and excellent facilities make it a great choice for an occasional indulgent stay. Highly recommended!
