Kunming!! Private hot spring!! I don't want to check out, I'll come again next time.
For those who are transiting or vacationing in Kunming, check this out!
✅ Zen courtyard ✅ Private hot spring ✅ Hanfu experience
If you're planning to visit Kunming, you have to check this place out!
1⃣ The location and environment are great. The hotel is located in the World Horticultural Expo Garden! 📍
2⃣ The hotel is designed in a Zen courtyard style, with every detail carefully designed. The landscaping is also very well done. 🍃
3⃣ From the moment you check in, you'll be treated to snacks at various times, a hearty breakfast, exquisite afternoon tea, a goodnight meal, fruit, and more.
4⃣ You can also try their spa, which is said to be one of the best in Kunming.
5⃣ The room has a small garden and a hot spring pool. It's so comfortable and relaxing to take a petal bath at night. If you come when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, it's absolutely amazing!
6⃣ When I was taking photos in the courtyard, I met a tea ceremony lady. She was beautiful, had a sweet voice, and was great at making tea!

His favorite is still the Jungle Leap project. Of course, he has also experienced all the other projects in the package (except for the boring cloud jump). Overall, he is still very happy. While waiting for him to play, he went into the jungle from the foot of the mountain to experience picking up mushrooms in Yunnan. But I went at the wrong time and gained very little. You can clearly see the footprints of people who collected mushrooms before and the pits left on the ground after pulling out the mushrooms. If you go at the right time, you should be able to harvest a lot of porcini mushrooms.
Later, we visited the China City Pavilion in the World Expo Park. There was not much to see, and the commercial operation of the venue was not considered a success. It is very beautiful. The scene is wide and open, with blue sky. The scene is like a fairy tale world. The sea of pink flowers and charming paths coexist with the delicious food, making it feel like you are in a fairyland. Surrounded by high mountains and clear lakes, the scene is full of rich historical atmosphere. When paired with the food, you can feel the weight of the years and the inheritance of taste. In this scene, flowers are blooming, butterflies are flying, and the intertwining of delicious food makes people immersed in the warmth and vitality of spring. The scenery is so nice! Excellent, very fun

Is the Kunming World Expo Garden worth visiting?
Is the Kunming World Expo Garden worth a visit? Today, Wanzi is here to find out~
The World Horticultural Exposition Garden is the venue of the 1999 Kunming World Horticultural Exposition.
Located in the Jindian Scenic Area in the northeastern suburbs of Kunming, it is about 4 kilometers from the city center of Kunming. The Expo Garden covers an area of about 218 hectares, with a vegetation coverage rate of 76.7%. The park is quite large, and it takes at least 2 hours to stroll around.
I also booked an electric cart for the tour, which was fun. Many buildings in the park are quite old. Anyway, there is no admission fee, so if you live nearby, it's not bad to come and play. But if you're making a special trip, I don't think it's necessary.

The garden is like a poem of ancient style
In this tranquil garden, the ancient-style architecture unfolds like a poem. With flying eaves and interlocking brackets, every brick and tile is imbued with the traces of time. Wandering through it is like traveling through a thousand years; a gentle breeze passes, bringing whispers from the wooden structures, while the dancing shadows of bamboo reflect a mottled tale of time. Here, it is a masterpiece of time, waiting for you to savor.

Why did I only discover such a great place in Kunming now
I only saw today that there are such beautiful places in Kunming!
I learned from the materials that this place has been listed many times as Kunming's best internet-famous spot for check-ins, the Tree Shadow Art Center❗️
Features of the Republic of China style building: Kunming's first immersive experience of the Republic of China style mini-theater💯
In August 2022, the 'Sir Returns' tribute exhibition was launched.
During the May Day period of 2023, an immersive Republic of China style theater experience will be held.
Since the first bell of class at the Southwest Associated University, Kunming has been imbued with the gentle aura of the professors, with rickshaws, vintage microphones, and changing into long gowns/cheongsams.
Step into the time tunnel, recite the professor's poetry, write affectionate letters.
It's our fortune as the younger generation to traverse the clues left by the professors a century later.
Highlights: Experience Republic of China style cosplay, letter writing, poetry recitation.
2nd floor: The spiral staircase and tree, a high-end atmosphere for great photo check-ins.
The combination of the spiral staircase and tree
Interprets the way a building should look amidst the comings and goings of the years.
A beam of light shines down, echoing the theme of the art center 'Tree Shadow'.
Highlights: The spiral staircase has a great negative space, suitable for empty frame photography or high-end atmospheric portraits.
2nd floor: In the brand hall, a tree suspended in the air, the element of the tree is also reflected on the second floor, a tree in the air, not only growing upwards but also downwards🌲
Highlights: Be sure to take a photo with 'Growing Like a Tree'📷
3rd floor: Bookshelves and bird nests, an excellent literary check-in spot.
The bird nest as tall as a person, shaped like a 'nest' that nurtures life.
The formula for taking photos here: You photograph the bird nest, while I photograph you next to the curved bookshelf, just standing there is the image of a quiet and restrained literary little princess.
Highlights: Bookstore-style photo check-ins, casually picking up a book is a great shot💯
Tips:
Tickets: Free Parking: Free
Time: All year 9:00-21:00
Location: Tree Shadow Art Center/Huaxia Jin Di World Expo No.1 Sales Department, Kunming City, Yunnan Province
Clothing suggestions: Mainly simple colors of black and white
Entrance method: Scan the code and follow 'Jindi Online Sales Department' to enter
Best check-in time: Weekdays 14:00-17:00 (best on sunny days)
Tea break recommendation: After taking photos, you can enjoy afternoon tea at the water bar on the second floor
Food recommendation: Walk down along Fengyuan Road for about 800 meters, there is a super delicious beef restaurant (also other snacks)

Creative - the sales office has been turned into an art gallery!
In the Expo Garden area of Panlong District, Kunming, the developer has transformed the sales office into an art gallery, named the Shadow Art Center. Seeing the related promotions, the art center seemed very charming, so I took a bus to explore.
Very impressive! It truly is an art exhibition hall.
The first floor features an exhibition of flower and bird paintings by contemporary painter Geng Jinchuan, reflecting spring. The pristine white walls, paired with the elegant artworks, are very clean, quiet, and refined!
The second floor, although a sales office, is very uniquely decorated, using the growth of trees to interpret the company's development philosophy and respect for residents.
The third floor is a rest area, nothing particularly memorable.
The most photogenic parts are the spiral staircase and the trees at the entrance of the first floor, very picturesque!
Business hours: 9:00—21:00
Address: 360 meters north of the intersection of Chuanjin Road and Fengyuan Road, Panlong District, Kunming, Yunnan.
CHEYENNE WOODARD
Mini Holiday Recommendation (Part 2) - The Colorful Kunming Expo Garden
This time, experience the 🎈World Horticultural Exposition Garden, Kunming Expo Garden
One of the must-visit attractions in Kunming, the Expo Garden. However, most tourists think that entering means just strolling around the garden and looking at the various world pavilions, but actually, there's not much to see after the exhibition period ends, as many are no longer open. So why come here? Because it's fun and there's good food!
Play: The most fun part of the Expo Garden itself is the ❣️China Splendid Garden. Don't just look at the exterior, each place you enter is a world of its own, with beautiful scenery at every step, perfect for taking photos.
❣️Inside the Expo Garden, there is the Expo Forest Hot Spring Amusement Park, which I haven't been to personally, as Kunming has so many hot springs and I haven't chosen this one yet.
❣️Kunming Qianxun Mo Wen Hot Spring SPA Hotel, as mentioned before in the guide, has hot springs and SPA, with a superior environment, and is a bit high-end.
❣️Yemu Fushu Coffee Simple Meal, Yemu Fushu is a large woodworking workshop in Kunming, and I often go there to do some woodworking. Friends who like DIY should visit.
❣️❣️Highly recommended is the Zeng Xiaolian Art Museum. First of all, the museum itself is beautiful, and secondly, you can learn about this painter, who is not only an artist but also a botanist, a scientist. I think his works are not only beautiful but also full of the truth of life, and are very worth visiting.
Eat: ❣️Lan Thai Garden·Thai Restaurant, with a super beautiful Thai dining environment, and the taste is also quite good.
Next to the Thai restaurant is ❣️Qianxun Mo Wen, for Japanese cuisine, please see the main page for a detailed introduction.
Drink: ❣️Feng Tang Bu Er Tang, you can tell by the name that it's opened by Feng Tang, located in the Jiangsu Garden Dongwu Xiaozhu, a very elegant courtyard where you can sit and relax.
I personally prefer the ❣️Sichuan Wind Garden for its large bowl tea or roasted tea around the stove, with quiet bamboo forests, pavilions, and waterside pavilions, so comfortable!
For coffee, there's ❣️The Elephant Good at Park Museum Store, where you can take a break and have a coffee to refresh yourself after walking around, which is also nice.
Stay: ❣️He Nian·Mid-Mountain Forest Hotel or the previously mentioned ❣️Kunming Qianxun Mo Wen Hot Spring SPA Hotel are both very good.
The Expo Garden is full of trees, a natural oxygen bar, and needless to say, full of flowers and plants. So friends, when you go there, you should know how to have fun and eat well, and you will definitely be very happy!

Kunming World Expo Garden, a grand summary of taking photos, strolling, and dining
I haven't left Kunming, I haven't left Kunming, I haven't left Kunming! But it feels like I've gone abroad!
The park is quite large, and you can stroll around for at least half a day.
The popular photo spots, especially in the foreign pavilion area, are very beautiful.
Especially the area with the little houses, where there are more people, and any spot on that lawn is picturesque! (See pics p2-6)
The Chinese landscape area is also very beautiful.
About food:
There are cafes, Western restaurants, Thai cuisine, rice noodle shops, and small teahouses.
I dined at 'Cloud 18' in the Thai pavilion, which has a nice ambiance, and you can take photos anywhere inside (pic p9 is from there).
Finally, ⚠️
World Expo Garden doesn't charge an entrance fee 🎫, but the parking lot does charge a fee, and pets are allowed.

Kunming World Expo Garden is simply a paradise on earth~
The Expo Garden is really too photogenic.
Line 5's terminal station, Exit A1, leads directly to the main entrance. Opening hours are 8:30-17:00. Admission is FREE.
Recently, Heidi's Garden at the Russian Pavilion has been particularly popular.
Right after entering the main gate, on the right-hand side is P1 with a lot of poppies.
Walking towards the International Pavilion, there are many photogenic spots, including the French Pavilion, Thai Pavilion, Lao Pavilion...
---
There is also a large greenhouse that requires an admission fee, where you can capture the Tyndall effect with the light, but it seems that you need to go in the morning, and it also depends on luck to encounter such natural lighting.
Each pavilion has a different style, many of which were created by professional architectural teams from various cities, truly reflecting the local characteristics! Yunnan's ultraviolet rays are really too strong, be sure to bring a parasol.

A Feast for the Eyes—The Bonsai Garden at Kunming World Expo
The Kunming World Expo, apart from the China Pavilion and the International Pavilion which are two comprehensive exhibition areas, also features many themed exhibitions. Currently, most of the themed exhibition areas are under development, but among the open areas, the Bonsai Garden is the most captivating.
The Bonsai Garden is truly a feast for the eyes. Among the various sizes of flower pots, each plant, tree, and unique rock come together to form a miniature landscape that is absolutely enchanting.

Expo Memories - Kunming Expo Garden
Kunming Expo Garden, also known as the Kunming World Horticultural Exposition Garden, was the venue for the 1999 Kunming World Horticultural Exposition, located in the Golden Temple scenic area in the northeastern suburbs of Kunming. The Kunming Expo Garden covers an area of about 218 hectares, with a vegetation coverage rate of 76.7%. The overall planning of the park is based on the local terrain, integrating the local characteristics of various provinces, regions, and cities across the country, as well as the garden and horticultural products, courtyard architecture, and scientific achievements of 95 countries into one garden. It reflects the theme of the era of 'harmony between man and nature, harmonious development', and is a grand garden of garden and horticultural products with 'Yunnan characteristics, Chinese style, and world-class'.
I had the fortune to visit the Kunming Expo in person in 1999, which was also the first time I visited a World Expo in my life, leaving a deep impression. At that time, the Expo Garden had five major pavilions: the China Pavilion, the International Pavilion, the Man and Nature Pavilion, the Greenhouse, and the Science and Technology Pavilion, as well as several main theme gardens such as the Bonsai Garden, Bamboo Garden, and Tea Garden. I remember it took us 3 days to finish visiting every pavilion and garden.
In 2023, I revisited the place, and now the Kunming Expo Garden has been opened to the public for free, with the southern part of the park being entrusted to the Overseas Chinese Town Group for renovation.
Entering the Expo Garden again, the Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys at the entrance immediately evoked memories from over 20 years ago. These monkeys were the mascots of the Expo, and their distinctive thick lips are unforgettable.
Walking into the Expo Garden, you enter a sea of flowers, with flower seas and flower beds everywhere, a must-visit for flower lovers.
Of the original five major pavilions, only the China Pavilion, the International Pavilion, and the Greenhouse remain. Among them, apart from the Greenhouse which is still a tropical botanical garden, the China Pavilion and the International Pavilion have changed beyond recognition, which is quite lamentable. Surprisingly, part of the outdoor exhibition area of the China Pavilion still retains the original appearance of the Expo, evoking people's memories of the Expo. The International Pavilion area is mostly still under renovation, and in a few years, it may be presented to everyone in a completely new way.

Within a small area, one can traverse the vast landscapes of China at the Kunming World Expo Garden's China Pavilion
The 1999 Kunming International Horticultural Exposition was the largest horticultural expo in history, with horticulturists from all over China and the world coming together in northeast Kunming to create the world's largest horticultural expo garden. After the event, most of the expo garden was preserved, and the best-preserved part is undoubtedly the external exhibition area of the China Pavilion.
The external exhibition area of the China Pavilion consists of characteristic gardens representing various provinces, municipalities, and regions across the country. With their varied elevations, rational layouts, meticulous carvings, and unique features, these gardens allow visitors to appreciate the beauty of China in a small space. Due to a limit of 20 pictures, only a selection of gardens can be showcased, but even just this area alone makes the Kunming World Expo Garden a worthwhile destination to visit.

This exhibition has invited nearly a hundred artists, designers, architects, and you may be standing in front of an artwork, and the art master is next to you.
We found a lot of photo spots in Laoyuhe, and you can feed the red-billed gulls all the way to the viewing platform. If you don't bring food, don't worry, there is a gull food selling point.

💚Tour time: The garden closes at 5 pm, it is recommended to reserve 1~2 hours for play, to ensure that you can stroll around the entire garden. The tour bus stops running at 5:30, so hurry up!
💚The park is very large, in order not to miss any beautiful scenery, it is recommended to take a tour bus. Here is some information about the tour bus route: Main entrance tour bus starting point - Bonsai Garden Station - Thailand Garden Station - Famous Flower Art Stone Garden Station - Huaxia Square Station - Yunnan Garden Station - Back to the main entrance tour bus starting point.
💚The particularly recommended photo spot is the Myanmar Garden, where the green trees and gardening add infinite beauty to your photos. In addition, the Thai Garden in the Thai Garden area has now been converted into a restaurant, attracting locals to come and taste, I don't know how it tastes, it's worth a try!
The Beijing Garden is also worth a visit, the red ancient buildings here that imitate the Forbidden City are full of atmosphere, and the photos are absolutely beautiful. The Zeng Xiaotang Art Museum is also in the Thai Garden area, I haven't been in to visit, but it must be a very good place.
In general, the Kunming World Expo Garden is a very worthwhile place to visit, whether it is to appreciate the beautiful gardening or to take photos, it can make you linger. Come and step into the embrace of spring and enjoy this green paradise!
