Enchanting Wonderfood Museum Experience!
Wonderfood Museum is a hidden gem that promises a delightful and mouthwatering adventure for anyone who steps through its doors. As I entered the museum, I was immediately transported into a whimsical world of larger-than-life food sculptures and interactive exhibits that left me awestruck.
The museum is a gastronomic wonderland, showcasing Penang's rich culinary heritage with painstakingly detailed food replicas. From the iconic Penang laksa to mouthwatering char kway teow, every exhibit was a masterpiece of artistry and craftsmanship. It was as if I had stepped into a world where food came to life in vivid colors and incredible sizes.
One of the highlights was the "Food Forest," a room adorned with enormous fruit and vegetable sculptures. I couldn't resist taking photos with the giant durian, dragon fruit, and banana replicas. It was like being in an enchanted garden of edible delights.
The museum's interactive exhibits added an extra layer of fun to the experience. I played a game of hopscotch on a giant plate of nasi lemak, and I even tried my hand at balancing a tray of virtual roti canai on a touchscreen display. It was a hands-on journey through Penang's culinary culture, and I couldn't stop smiling throughout.
The "Spicy Challenge" was another unforgettable experience. I tested my tolerance for spice by sampling various chili peppers, each with a different level of heat. It was a spicy adventure that left my taste buds tingling, and I gained a newfound respect for Penang's love of all things spicy.
The Wonderfood Museum Penang isn't just a feast for the eyes; it's also a feast for the senses. The aroma of the food sculptures wafted through the air, making my stomach rumble with hunger. Thankfully, there's a café on-site where I could savor real Penang delicacies, including the delectable cendol and refreshing ais kacang.
In the end, my visit to the Wonderfood Museum Penang was nothing short of amazing. It combined art, culture, and cuisine in a way that left a lasting impression on me. It's a must-visit destination for foodies, art enthusiasts, and anyone looking to immerse themselves in the vibrant food culture of Penang. My journey through this whimsical wonderland was truly a delightful and unforgettable experience.

I decided spontaneously to visit this museum in hopes of learning a bit more about Malaysian food and get ideas of what and where to eat in Penang. The museum was much more interesting and fun than I expected. Not only are the displays realistic and eye-catching, there was also a lot of information on Malaysian history and culture as well as nutrition and health facts. to fill up times in Penang, one of the many places we visited were Wonderfood Museum in Penang. its located in the middle of the town, its quite difficult to find parking but we managed to get 1. So, it was 2 storey building, got lots of big food (not real food hehe) .. so that you can take picture and read about the history of the foods that they displayed inside. also, there will be photographer who will take your pictures and sell it at the counter at RM50 you can get 2 picture if im not mistaken. but ya, great place to visit with the kids.

Wonderfood Museum Penang

This building is dedicated to glorifying the food culture of Penang by creating large plastic models of the food that this place is known for. Not just that, you will also find a list of places where you can find those delicious dishes around Penang. Wonderfood Museum, Penang
Penang Wonderfood Museum offers visitors a kitsch, kooky and in-depth look at the city’s unique food culture with larger than life displays of Malaysian dishes.
Set within a 1940s colonial building in Georgetown, the museum is divided into three galleries called Info Zone, Wow Zone, and Educational Zone. All of the hyper-realistic models are handcrafted by the museum’s owner, Sean Lao who utilises food replication techniques from Japan.
The first section showcases over 100 types of popular street foods and traditional delicacies of the Malaysian people.
Penang Wonderfood Museum’s giant replica food section in the Wow Zone proves to be a big hit amongst locals and tourists alike.
Set along Lebuh Pantai, Penang Wonderfood Museum is a five-minute walk from Queen Victoria Memorial Clocktower Penang. The entrance fee for foreign visitors is RM25 for adults and RM15 for children, while locals (with MyKad identifications) are required to pay RM15 and RM10 respectively.

About Malaysia's food culture, play here and learn about
Penang, Malaysia has a "food" theme museum, which has been well received by tourists from all over the world, and has won many awards and high scores. What is the charm?
The first exhibition room, through a realistic model, allows everyone to quickly understand the local mainstream cuisine in Malaysia and intuitively understand the characteristics of Indian, Malay and Chinese cuisine.
The subsequent exhibition room zoom in the food, where you can take interesting photos.
In addition to taking pictures, in fact, this museum is also very meaningful, through the different artistic expressions of different themes and different ways, let everyone understand the importance of food in life. The ancient foods that have appeared and lost, the animals that are endangered by people moving to the table, and the world's most expensive food, the highest sugar, and so on. The staff at
is also very enthusiastic, will help to set up, and there are some interactive devices, which adds a lot of fun to the browsing process. Of course, at the end of the museum, there is also a mini store where you can buy food-related surroundings. The star film is very beautiful~

#myhiddengems The museum takes you on a journey through Malaysia’s best and most famous cuisine! Not sure where to find specific dishes in Penang? They’ve got you covered! The museum provides a list of must-visit spots, and the food at these places is still superb. I’ve tried a few on the list and wish I could try them all. And as a cherry on top, they’ve even created a Mona Lisa using Malaysian food. #penang

Wonder Food Museum
I absolutely love the food museum in Georgetown, Malaysia! It was brilliant in both educating tourists about the local cuisine and the amazing melting pot that is Malaysia, and creating artistic displays. Me and my friend had the best time! We also loved the mini displays of the history of food in Malaysia. Some of the (fake) food on display is incredibly impressive and essentially a work of art!

#penangtrip What a fun place to be ! We had such a great time exploring the Museum, It's a very interactive Museum where you can try on the a chefs coat, pretend to pick up foods, most of these dishes are giant and they make for amazing photos. We spent so much time here and we loved every moment of it. It also gave us some insight on what to expect for dishes while we stayed in Malaysia. We had just arrived not to long before coming to Georgetown so we were still not 100 percent sure of the dishes and what to expect. This Museum shows us what to expect. I still often think about this Museum and remember how fun and cool this was. I would definitely come check out the Museum during your stay in Georgetown.

Wonderfood Museum
Of all the mini-museums and fun-photo museums in Penang, this is the one to not skip. We went in with modest expectations and were blown away. It was fun and super informative and a great way to spend an hour in the city centre. Penang has incredible food and this will make you want to go out and eat it all!
I really want to commend the staff who were super cheerful and helpful and seemed honestly excited and happy to be there helping people learn about Penang's amazing food. The displays and written descriptions had a lot of effort and thought put in. They should be proud.
Get to learn about Malaysia's food heritage. Food replicas come in different sizes, some of the dishes are in really huge sizes.
Lots of photo-taking opportunities. A place not to miss if you are in Penang.

Penang is the best place to play in the brain--the most fun food museum to see here
Penang, which is the best city in my mind except for Jeju Island, which is a great example of the museum culture. There are more than 50 museums, large and small, all kinds of whimsy, brain holes have been opened to the extreme.
And this food food museum is one of the things I find very interesting. Because the cuisine of Penang is world-famous, the sands, the clams, the clams... the two slaps are not counted. This food madness is the food of Penang, which is presented by both large and small models. A great place to have fun and knowledge of science.
Play Raiders: The museum is divided into two layers, all of which are Malaysian specialties, all made into models, with a mini version in the showcase, and a magnified version for visitors. Taking a picture and taking a lot of photo props is definitely a place where you can shoot a lot of interesting photos with your brain wide open.
The second floor is about introducing food knowledge around the world, such as the world's most expensive food rankings, what are the most acidic, hottest, stinky, sweetest foods in the world, and We have some knowledge about food in our science, showing the calories of the snacks we usually eat in a figurative way, telling us to eat less junk food, and there is also a promenade that connects Penang from the past to the present. The history is presented one by one, very interesting, and also allows visitors to learn knowledge without knowing it.
Ticket information: MYR 25 for adults, MYR 15 for children, bring student ID card, there are discounts, remember! Remember!
Opening hours: 09
