The West Coast Park is located in the southwest of Singapore, near the port and industrial area. The park faces the 'Serangoon Harbour' and stretches for about 3 kilometers. The West Coast has wide lawns and shady trees, suitable for family picnics, hiking, sand playing, roller skating, kite flying, cycling, baseball, football... basically, you can do any sport you can think of here! At the seaside of the park, you can enjoy the scenery of Jurong Island and the harbour, and you can also bring your own tent for camping. The park is full of shady trees, and the pedestrian and bicycle shared path runs through the whole park, including a fitness park, an obstacle bicycle lane, two tent camping areas, a bird watching garden, a 'bird habitat forest', and a pond and children's playground of about 10,000 square meters. There’s big grassland, where people can have picnics or fly the kite, 🪁 and playgrounds for children, with some swings and slides, which makes the park a great place for families with kids to come. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Besides, there is also sidewalk here, so you could see many people cycling, running and taking walk here. 🏃‍♀️And a Mc Donald is located at the door.🍔 The most attractive point of the park is that it’s by the sea so you could see the beautiful sunset. 🌄Singapore’s sunset is usually around 7 o’clock (could check the exact time on the internet), so around 6, many people come and sit on the rocks by the sea. Some may have some fried chickens and chat with families or friends, and watch the sun fall down to the horizon. It’s a great place to relax. It is popular for camping, barbecue, camping and even kite flying. It can be quite crowded especially on a weekend evening. They would be family bringing their kids to the playground and a lot of others exercising. It has great walking tracks and lots of paths to choose from. There are lots of squirrels and other wildlife in this park which makes it interesting. This park is nothing like east coast park, there is only McDonald's to eat at and the only paying ride is to hire 4 seater bikes to ride around. There is a large dog area which is enclosed so you can take your dog off the leash. Well this park had all what needs to make it a perfect destination. It had children rides and camping site. The most attracting part of it was the Harbor view. Themed as the "Play Centre in the West," West Coast Park is a large park located …. in the West of SG. It is majority manmade just below 10 years ago but fast becoming a Family to-go place. The park runs parallel to West Coast Highway, where we drove and parked at 1 of the many carparks. It stretches from the eastern end of Pasir Panjang Wholesale Market all the way up West. West Coast Park is smaller in size and attractions than the (more famous) East Coast Park, but it does offer several gems for visitors.. . . The main draw will be the Adventure Playground (Area 3), it caters to the different age groups from young toddlers to the adults from flying-fox to Space-themed climbing net. Sure fun!. The spacious ground is all covered in sand to cushion falls. Besides being a camping site for tent pitching ground, it is also popular among kite flying enthusiasts with its strong wind and spaciousness at the Grand Lawn. Save for a few large trees with its huge buttress roots. The spaciousness provides a breath of fresh air for all. a great place for a picnic or a game of frisbee with friends The Promenade lookout Jetty juts out of the park’s shoreline, offering a good view of sunset . It is close to the Yatch Club, and thus, one can see the jetty’s many yachts docked nearby.. The waterfront offers a good sea view, but definitely with the distance ships/vessels and the Port’s cranes into the background.. We came just after lunch so it was hot! Taking a walk along the coastline, the waterfront seems to continue seamlessly... One can also rent bicycles from GoCycling @ West Coast Park, an operator, and try the. bicycle distance course challenge! Are you tired and looking for a meal? There’s the waterfront La Pizzeria, with a breath-taking view of the pier. This little pizzeria is within the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club & opened to the public. For something simplifier, there is also a Macdonald near to the playground, but always long q! Other Facilities in the Park includes : fitness corner, exercise garden with foot reflexology facilities and bird cage trellis, A marsh garden, bird sanctuary, Area 2 will be the BBQ pit ( boat-shaped barbeque pits) and dog run corner. West coast park in singapore! Really nice place for relaxation and have many bikes for rental. Cheap and good quality and safe! Lots of citizens here with their family, great place for family time or just hanging out with friends. Great weather, not too sunny and also very windy. Have plenty of playgrounds for children and adults to enjoy, amazing view and beautiful park.
