Kaohsiung attractions! Weiwu Mimi Village is the largest and highest painted village in Taiwan and the first large-scale mural community in Taiwan.
It is a very special community. Almost every wall is painted, with themes and different styles.
There are some snack vendors in the community selling super cheap and quite delicious food, and the ladies are very enthusiastic!
You can visit Weiwu Mimi Village casually, or you can search according to the 10 major themes of the treasure hunt map. However, because it is in the alley of a community, you must pay attention to the principle of not disturbing neighbors.
How to get there?
Address: Xingli Street and Shangyong Road (surrounding area), Weiburi, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City

The artsy city, Kaohsiung Taiwan
#fallishere Come explore this artsy part of the city where street arts are abundant on the buildings of this small village called WeiWu MiMi Village.
Getting There - Recommended to take the MRT to WeiWuYing Station and alight from entrance 4 or 5. Once you exit the station, you cannot miss the library painting building (cover photo)
Attractions - Street art photography
Food & Restaurants - Local residential snack store which sells Taiwanese sausages, rice cake and fried fish cake
Bonus recommendaton - Take a 10 minutes taxi ride from the place to 原龍羊肉海產-一心路總店, a restaurant specializing in lamb pot. What a unique find as it is similar to the famous Bak Kut Teh that you can find in Malaysia or Singapore. It is essentially a herbal soup which you can find lamb meat inside. The taste is not that sweet and it is very very fragrant. You can order the lamb hotpot as well as the famous lamb risotto and lamb vermicelli. A true local favorite and you will certainly not be disappointed.
Also, one of the best night markets in Taiwan is nearby here, RuiFeng Night Market which you can visit as well.

【Kaohsiung】Weiwu Mimi Village
#OverseasTrendyPlaces
This is a popular photo spot where artists from various countries have painted colorful pictures on the walls of local houses.
You can visit 24 hours a day, but since this is a residential area, you need to be mindful of the privacy of local residents.
While walking, there are different designs, and although I wasn't able to see them all, it seems better to look at them from a distance.
This area was originally an old housing complex where retired soldiers lived, but it has suddenly become a street art town since the Kaohsiung Lingya International Street Art Festival was held in 2016.

Taiwan’s Attitude Towards Art——MiMi Village in Weiwuying, Kaohsiung
#2024TravelReview
"Weiwu Mimi Village" is located in Lingya District, Kaohsiung City. It is the first large-scale art mural community in Taiwan. It was originally just an ordinary old community. From 2016 to 2021, a total of more than 50 outstanding artists from 24 countries and regions were invited to create, with as many as 135 painted wall murals~
The murals include various antelopes 🦌 (homonym of Lingya District), the underwater world 🐠, and the super funny Wangxiang Funong 🐶 (Figure 2). If you come to Kaohsiung Citywalk, you might as well check in here, it's very cute~
📍Address: No. 6, Shangyong Road, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City 802 (about 10 minutes walk from the exit of MRT Weiwuying Station)

Weiwu Mimi Village: A complete guide to the painted community map! Created by world-class artists, a popular Instagram check-in landmark.
Located at Weiwuying Station in Kaohsiung City, the entire village is filled with rainbow paintings, and every floor and pavilion is filled with artistic bubbles. It is truly a feast for the eyes and has attracted visitors from all over the world!
Painting artists from all over the world and local artists in Taiwan have used the entire Weiwu Mimi Village community building as a painting board. The city aquarium, 3D forest secrets, coral antelopes, jellyfish and monkeys... Everywhere is full of childlike fun and colorful scenes. The huge paintings are very interesting, and new works will be presented from time to time. The whole style is very different from other painted villages that like to use cartoons as the theme. It really makes people feel like visiting an art gallery.
Weiwu Mimi Village is just opposite the Weiwuying National Center for the Arts. It is easily accessible via Exit 5 of the Kaohsiung MRT Weiwuying Station.
