Known to be one of the best Taiwan tea in Singapore.
One thing about this place is that they brew fresh tea for each drink.
Their milk tea with Pearl is a must try if you love milk tea. I ordered 0% sugar and no ice and the tea is really fragrant and aromatic.
I also love their fruit tea and ordered the orange green tea which is a blend of green tea & orange peel. It was very refreshing!

I always patronise the Waterway Point outlet and love that all their products are fresh.
The best thing is just buy what you need, less wastage.
Usually I’ll stock up on kids’ snacks such as pretzels, banana chips and veggie chips. These are easy to pack in their school lunch box.
I’ll also buy spices like paprika, cumin, turmeric and chilli powder.
Other dry foodstuff that I’ll buy are rolled oats, chia seeds and granolas.
For their beauty care, I have used their organic toothpaste and body scrubs. Really love their products.
I like visiting this store as they have various products that you may not find in the local supermarket.

If I need a quick meal, this is my go to place to dine in.
Authentic Japanese food at affordable prices.
They served popular Japanese meals, like curry rice, yakitori bowls, yakiniku bowls.
We ordered the yakitori and yakiniku bowls and both were so delicious!
Loved the thinly sliced beef and onions mixed in a sweet soy-based sauce.
Oh they even served low carb gyudon! So instead of rice you get tofu as the base. That was another of my favourite!
The earl grey latte, no sugar is another of my favourite too!

Jollibean is a well-known fast food chain in Philippines. As with all other fast food chain, they serve french fries, chicken wings, burgers etc, however, what differentiate them from the other chains is that they have sets with spaghetti and rice. You need to place your order through their self-service stations and wait for your number to be called.
We love their beef patties rice set. Their beef patties are drenched with their secret sauce and are so tender and yummy! Their fried chicken and chicken tenders are tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Their french fries are amazingly crispy and yummy! Go try it if you have not done so, you can thank me later!

Putien serves authentic Fujian cuisine. It started off at its flagship outlet at Kitchener road which has been awarded one Michelin Star. Notwithstanding the fact that other outlets were not awarded this honorable award, their food is equally good.
We visited the outlet at Waterway Point and tried their signature Heng Hwa Bee Hoon, Braised Bean Curd with Chinese Cabbage and Deep fried Tenggiri fish and we were all completely blown away. The bee hoon is so fine and soft yet very chewy, completely different from what we always eat. The braised bean curd tasted slightly different but taste so good! The fish is fresh and crispy. Both adults and kids enjoyed the meal alot, we will definitely return to try other dishes which looked incredibly yummy.

Grill Fish Specialist A Must Try
As a professional grilled fish brand, TANYU has a special meaning of its name. It symbolizes that they welcome customers to "explore" the delicacy of TANYU, and it also stands for TANYU's continuous exploration and innovation of delicious food!
Went to try their garlic grilled fish at their new outlet located in Waterway Point B2. Service was relatively good and prompt. Fish is fresh but the grilled brinjal a little too charred. Overall, a must try if you are a fish foodie explorer.

It’s the year of the rabbit & Breadtalk has a variety of irresistible & cute rabbit and carrot themed bakes.

Their thick, cloudlike pancake stacks almost 4cm high , available in both savoury and sweet flavours.
The texture is light , and fluffy and each bites is an eating pleasure !

We have the Xiao Long Bao which I would recommend not to give it a miss.
The broth inside is really tasty and the other must have is their fried rice with pork chop.

Everything Salted Egg
Anything with salted egg won't go wrong and it is a salted egg heaven at Xian dan Chao ren stall at Basement 1 of punggol waterway point shopping mall. They sell everything and anything with salted egg.
Their salted egg chicken rice set is one of their signatures. The chicken was deep fried till chicken and it was a generous portion of meat, accompanied with rice and an egg. Salted egg sauce was served on the side and it was creamy, rich and savoury. Yummy! If you do not want a meal, Xian dan ren also sells different kinds of snacks with the salted egg sauce. For example, there's deep fried seafood duo, mantou, lotus root, etc. The pairing with the salty egg sauce is simple delicious. Head down to try it today!

Traditional Old School Snacks Waterway Point
It is not everyday that we see night markets at our neighborhood, which is called the Pasar malem, here in Singapore. So where do I go to fix my Pasar malem food cravings? I head to waterway point.
Waterway point is a shopping mall in Punggol and it has almost everything that you can find there, from food to shopping. On the second floor of the mall, just right outside at Kopitiam food court, you will be able to see push carts selling old school traditional snacks like your muah chee, Rojak and kueh kuehs. Tutu kuehs are made on the spot so that it is still hot and fresh when you eat it. There is even herbal eggs sold, something which is becoming quite uncommon in Singapore. Price range is not expensive for such snacks and it is good for on the go.
Head down to waterway point for your old school snacks today!

one punggol all-in-one beside lrt station
the newly opened 1 nov one punggol will house a 5-storey library, 700 seats hawker centre, many types of function and conference rooms, studios, classes, and will facing the upcoming multi sports centre directly across the road. safra punggol is also across the road.
big ass fans and long queues at the food and drinks stalls were spotted on a Saturday afternoon, and we took a while to find a table for 4.
buses 84 and 382w serves the bus stop directly or you could take a lrt one stop away from punggol mrt. it’s a sheltered 5-min stroll to Waterway Point and punggol mrt Cum bus interchange.
i tried the economical fried rice $4 and was not bad but soup was not served.

Waterway Point, a suburban Mall
Waterway point is one of the newest mall being built and opened in April 2016 which is located in the North of Singapore and in the heart of punggol.
This mall is connected to the punggol MRT and LRT station and is very popular among residences around the area as this is a one stop mall with also entertainment like movies and a broadwalk for kids to run around.
The broadwalk has a little train ride for kids, with a small fee they will be able to ride this train around the broad walk, you will also see alot of take away food stalls here where people will just sit along the broadwalk with the view of the waterway running track.
This place is also a great place for shopping as there are many reasonably priced brands for apparels like uniqlo, sports shops, shoes handbags and more.
If you plan to go here during weekends, I recommend to take the train as the car park gets insanely jammed up and the queue will turn you off from even going into the mall.

Looking for a Japanese grocery stall that has everything? You can head to Don Don Donki, which just came to Singapore in 2017 with the 1st store in Orchard Central, at that time the queue to go into the store was insane where you got to wait for an hour or more just to enter into donki itself.
They have been well established and have opened more than 6 over stalls located all around Singapore where one has also opened in waterway point in the North of Singapore.
Don Don Donki, is a great place to get premium meat and seafood like beef, eels and even snow crab or alska crab at an affordable price. Freshness is guaranteed as they always give superb discounts closer to the shop closing times, even up to 50% off! So head down here, if you are looking for a Premium meat and seafood selection, I'm sure you won't regret it.

Tucked in a corner at the Basement One of Waterway Point Shopping Mall, this outlet is opened until 12am so you can shop to your heart’s content!
Almost everything in store is imported from Japan. You will find fresh fruits, vegetables, cooked bento sets, fresh sashimi, sushi, frozen food, snacks, daily necessities and groceries imported from Japan. A few of their staff also hail from Japan!
Whenever you visit any of their store, you will hear their theme song being played on an endless loop. The song is so easy and catchy, i managed to master the entire song within a handful of visits to Don Don Donki!
Download their app on your mobile phone and earn points with every purchase. You can even get a $5 voucher during your birthday month within any minimum spend. You are welcomed.

Where to get value for money vegetarian food in the far northeast with tranquil environment? This place is Waterdrop Teahouse.
Love the ambience here with good and clean food served. Prices are very reasonable and we can get a decent meal from just $4.50 onwards. There’s also a merchandise counter for vegetarian foods.
We had the day’s special of Olive Fried Rice, Rendang Mushroom Rice and steamed momo (Asian dumplings). Paired it with a pot of soothing and nourishing Mixed Flowers tea.
Weekdays are peaceful and tranquil, lovely for a quiet meal. Weekends can be crowded. Do come here for some good and clean vegetarian meals if you are around the Punggol area. It is less than 10 mins walk from Waterway Point.

Orders can be made via physical queue or via self-service checkout machine located at the corner. Place your order via the machine and checkout with credit/debit card or paylah or paynow. You will receive a receipt with your queue number which you will use to collect your order when your number flashes on the screen.
You can earn points by being their member for free, and the points can be redeemed for free upgrades or free toppings. You will get a free cup of your choice in your birthday month as a member (even when you spend nothing).
My favourite is the no sugar original coconut shake, but mind you, it is still sweet even without sugar!

Established by Radha Exports, the Valu$ and ABC chains have taken Singapore by storm, offering a wide range of affordably priced products that are procured from all over the world, especially from Indonesia, Malaysia, India, China and a few other countries.
For instance, of affordable items you can get from here :
- Food and Beverage : chocolate, chips, biscuits, cereals, syrup, canned drinks, coffee mix etc

This little cosy sit-in cafe is located at the East Wing side of Waterway Point @ Basement 2, sandwiched between POSB Bank and Ya Kun. They offer affordable set meals, ala carte dishes in addition to old school style cakes, pies and pastries.
Today, we decided to try their Western Signature Set Meals which include a Main, Soup of the Day and a Drink (Coffee, Tea, Orange Juice or Iced Lemon Tea) :
- Griilled Salmon Fillet Set @ $19.80
A sizeable salmon grilled to perfection and served with coleslaw and fresh salad. Remember to squeeze the lemon juice over the salmon for that added zest. Yummy much !
- Chicken Chop Set @ $14.80
A generous portion of chicken with intact skin grilled to crispiness, topped with mushroom sauce and served with broiled greens. Just nice for my post workout protein needs. Great choice !
Today's soup of the day was mushroom soup and was great to dip/dunk the accompanying toasted bread together and eat, plus there were generous bits of button mushrooms in it. Overall, an awesome meal with a total bill of $34.60 :)
If you are still hungry, you can perhaps try their warm puff pastries. Many nice takeaway fav of mine include :

PappaRich, a HALAL certified chain originating from Malaysia, has around 100 outlets worldwide and they pride themselves in offering delicious and authentic staple Malaysian cuisine in Singapore.
For our visit here, we ordered their :
- Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang + Sambal Prawns
The rendang was ok but too watery. Fortunately the sambal prawns were tender and yummy. Crispy ikan bilis and peanuts too.
- Penang Char Kway Teow
Quick a decent portion with succulent prawns
- Beef Satay
Pricey for 6 sticks and the meat on the skewer pathetic, so I don't recommend it.
Overall a very hearty meal but a bit pricey for two. However the redeeming grace is their cozy ambience which is great for a chit chat gathering with friends, or a family get together !

This bubble tea outlet can be found at the East Wing of Waterway Point @ Level 1, just near the Customer Service Counter.
Today we visit the all too familiar Taiwanese bubble tea outlet that utilises their very own Teapresso tea brewing machine to freshly prepare the tea that goes into every cup of bubble tea.
After browsing through their extensive menu and after recommendation from the crew, we decided to opt for one of their top 3 popular drink : Dong Ding Oolong Fresh Milk Tea @ $4.70 a cup.
In view of me and my mom's diabetic condition, we ordered 50% less sugar and also less ice so that the Oolong milk tea will not end up tasting too dilute once all the ice melts after we window shop around the mall.
There are many bubble milk tea brands in every mall, but CHICHA San Chen is certainly unique in the brewing process and taste. Do give them a try yeah.

Au Croissant is located at the West Wing side of Waterway Point and is a popup store sandwiched in between Tim Ho Wan and Din Tai Fung.
Essentially, this French bakery specialises in ..... croissants of course ! In addition to their signature Butter Croissant, they also have intriguing flavours like Almond, Double Chocolate, Tiramisu, Lemon Cream Cheese, Soy Milk, Mint Chocolate, Maple Cheese too !
Currently they are having a promotion for the above flavoured croissants @ 3 for $10 under their Triple Temptations Campaign. The time frame to grab those fluffy, buttery or savory topped/filled croissants is from 12pm to 4pm only.
Under the same campaign, their Feuilletes (Chicken, Tuna, Otah, Curry), Cinnamon Raisin Roll, Mini Garlic Butter Ring and Lemon Cheese Tart go @ 3 for $5.80.
Note that the usual price for their savory croissants is @ $4.80 each, plus they are freshly handmade and baked in-house daily. Not those frozen pre-folded types from wholesale food suppliers.
Really enticing to look at and munch upon with their generous toppings and fillings which kinda justify for the price.
I usually will stick to the flaky crunchy Butter Croissant. You can keep them in the fridge and reheat in your oven when you need to have them. They are so buttery that when you rebake them, you can even see the butter oozing out onto the baking paper !
Go ahead and binge on the sinfully butter rich croissants once in a while and take it as a cheat moment ! Best enjoyed over a hot cuppa English Breakfast or Earl Grey Tea. Pure bliss !

I am sure everyone is very familiar with McDonald's by now and needs little introduction.
The outlet we are visiting for breakfast today is located at the West Wing side of Waterway Point @ Basement 2, just beside NTUC Fairprice Finest Supermarket.
You can either access the fast food joint via the mall during opening hours or simply proceed down to B2 via the instagram worthy exterior escalator from The Plaza side (will feature The Plaza, the carpeted grass area and escalator in a separate post So do follow me yeah !).
McDonald's is making it really easy for you to order your food as they have two rows of pop-up Self Service Ordering Menu Counters to place your orders online and even make your payment via Nets / Credit. There's also the usual physical order counter if you prefer to pay via cash or interact with staff (like special order without tatare sauce or vegs or pickles etc). Thereafter, you can choose to collect it at the counter or select table service.
What I usually order for breakfast is their hearty Big Breakfast with Hotcakes which comes with a toasted English muffin, slab of scrambled egg, sausage patty, hash brown and pancakes. Served with butter, grape jam, sweet maple syrup and a cuppa hot tea with milk (which is refillable during breakfast hours).
Quickly melt the butter on the pancakes while they are still hot and dribble the maple syrup over them before eating .... simply divine ! And don't be shy to ask for more butter yeah !
Still hungry or thirsty for more ? You can also proceed to their separate McCafe counter to get a cuppa Macchiato, Frappe, or simply grab their Cinnamon Roll, Cheesecake or Donut for further dine-in or takeaway.
So that's how I usually spend my lazy weekend morning by parking myself at MacDonald's for breakfast as well as utilise their free wifi lol.

This HALAL certified pretzel outlet is conveniently located at the East Wing of Waterway Point @ Basement 1, just beside the equally popular Nine Fresh Desserts which we introduced previously.
Auntie Anne’s specialises in what else - Pretzels of course. You can see through their window that each pretzel is freshly rolled, twisted on the spot and oven-baked in-store daily.

Some of my fav in each of their categories include :
- ORIGINAL Salted or Unsalted at $3.20, Plain Raisin @ $3.60.

There’s simplly a pretzel flavour for everyone ! Happy much yeah :)
For my visit, I ordered the popular Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel. With every bite, my mouth is filled with the sweetness of the cinnamon sugar and the crunch you get from freshly baked breads.
It was still warm when I received my pretezel as they kept them in a warmer. Yummy but don't take too much if you are diabetic lol !

Waterway Point Feature Series - 13
This Japanese restaurant is located at the West Wing of Waterway Point @ basement 1, just beside Bali Thai.
This outlet, in particular, is a two-in-one combo of Osaka Ohsho and Ajisen Ramen brands from Japan Foods Holding.
Osaka Ohsho specalises in handmade gyoza (Japanese style meat dumplings) that has been pan-fried to a delicious crisp on one side yet irresistably moist within. The filling is made with a combination of well-seasoned minced pork (from tender pork shoulder and leg cuts) as well as cabbage, ginger and garlic. This is then enased in Osaka Ohsho's very own delicately-thin wanton wrapper and grilled to perfection.
Ajisen is known for offering a wide selection of ramen coupled with its rich collagen soup base which is cooked from hours of boiling pork bones and cartilage.
We decided to order two sets today @ $19.90 each :
- 2 Volcano Ramen : gotta love that special red spicy minced sauce topping !
- 2 sides : deep fried Gyoza and Takoyaki balls. Best eaten with mayo and their special dip
- 2 Green teas which is refillable
If you do not find it spicy emough, add on condiments like chilli powder and also do add some garlic for the extra kick. For those who like their ramen sets, you can give them a try ! I will cover the gyozas from Osaka Ohsho in a later post.

This outlet at Waterway Point is located at the outisde atrium space of basement 1.
They have an exciting selection of donuts made fresh daily. I am sure there's a flavour you will like !
My personal fav is the Mr Happy Shell donut which has a happy smiley face painted on it. This donut comes with a banana frosting and a sweet vanilla custard filling. Try it ! It never fails to bring a happy smile to my face whenever I am tired, need a perk me up or simply a binge break.
My other hot picks ($2.20 each) include :
- Almond White Chocolate : white chocolate frosting topped with almond flakes
- Berry MochiMochi : strawberry frosting and rainbow sprinkles
- Matcha Green Tea : green tea frosting
- Salted Caramel Chocolate : chocolate frosting drizled with salted caramel
- Bavarian : sugar dusted with vanilla custard filling
- Boston Kreme : chocolate frosting with vanilla custard filling
- Hazelnutty : cinnamon sugar dusted with hazelnut chocolate filling
There are also premium options like Apple Cheese, Blueberry Cheese and Strawberry Cheese but I am happy with the standard offerings above.
The delicious donuts are also available in their mini bite-sized Munchkin series @ 12 for $8.00

Waterway Point Feature Series - 2
If you are around Waterway Point, you can go up to Koufu food court on lvl 2. Near the entrance is a mini stall selling a popular local hawker delight : popiah.
The price : 1 for $2.50, 2 for $4.60. So I decided to order 2 rolls lol.
Our review :
The turnip fillings were simply bursting with flavours and the crunchy bits, were deliciously combined with the rest of the ingredients such as bean sprouts, lettuce, hard-boiled egg, garlic, chilli paste, black sauce and peanuts. With so much fillings, the popiah skin was surprisingly able to retain its shape and not break :)
Overall I give it a 4 out of 5. Why not try it when you are around the vicinity ?
