Thung Setthi Temple
A beautiful temple called Wat Tung Setthi is located in Phra Lap Subdistrict, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province. It is a very beautiful temple. It was initiated by Luang Ta Oi (Sawat Sila Udomsap) in 1999 on an area of over 70 rai. Luang Ta had about 5 rai of old land that he went to explore and had a sixth sense that it was a sacred land, “the land of three worlds”, where the three worlds meet: heaven, the human world, and the underworld. So he collaborated with his disciples to buy more land to build a temple directly at the important point of the three worlds. He ordered the construction of a great pagoda to cover it, which is called Maha Rattana Chedi Sri Trai Lok That, which is in the shape of an inverted bell. It is prominent and houses the principal Buddha image, “Luang Pu Dam”, a bronze Buddha image in the imperial regalia. There are various contemporary arts that contain mysteries of Dhamma for Buddhists to study and pay homage. In addition, there is a pavilion of the first Buddha image, a chapel enshrining the first Buddha image, and a garden that contains various moral teachings about reincarnation and hell tours in a shady atmosphere with trees, ponds, various stucco statues, and beautiful architecture. You can visit, make merit, pay homage, or take photos. #Khon Kaen #Wat Thung Setthi

Worship and ask for blessings at Wat Thong Setthi
Worship the principal Buddha image at Wat Tung Setthi. There are the pigeon, Guan Yin, Thao Wessuwan, and many other gods. Go to the abbot's quarters and meet Luang Pho Nen. He kindly sprinkled holy water on me and gave me an amulet. Walked out to choose some amulets and saw an interesting painted Khun Phaen Kai Kae Mae Pla Chon amulet. There is still one in the temple cabinet. I'm going to buy it.

Wat Tung S
Wat Tung Setthi is located in Tambon Phra Lap, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province, covering an area of 73.2 rai. Construction began in 1999. The construction was initiated by “Luang Ta Oi” (Sawat Sila Udomthap) or known as Luang Ta Oi Yam Daeng.
The origin of Wat Tung Setthi began when Luang Ta traveled to various provinces in the northeast for many years, mostly helping parents and teachers in the meditation lineage of the great teacher Luang Pu Man Phurithatto. He helped support Buddhism both directly and indirectly, using both supernatural powers and merit powers to persuade villagers to have faith and come to the temple to make merit and practice Dhamma in large numbers. However, his charity for people continued like this for some time. He considered it and saw that he had helped people in various areas for quite some time. It was time to return to help his children and grandchildren in his hometown in Khon Kaen Province.
After returning to Khon Kaen not long ago, Luang Ta remembered that he had an old plot of land, covering an area of about 5 rai, so he went to explore it. From the survey at that time, He realized with his clairvoyance that this was a sacred land, “the land of the three worlds.” So, he and his disciples bought additional land to build a temple directly at the important point of the three worlds. He ordered the construction of a great pagoda to cover it. However, it is well-known among his close descendants that Luang Ta did not only build this great pagoda, but also supported the country and the Chakri dynasty, as he often said, “It was built to honor the King.”
Luang Ta said that the name of Wat Tung Setthi was “because there will be millionaires who come to make merit with us. There are both minor millionaires, major millionaires, and future minor millionaires. Even though some people are not yet millionaires today, they will eventually become millionaires.”

Modern thai architecture temple
The Sukhothai period saw the construction of Wat Thung Setthi. The ruin stands outside the Si Satchanalai town wall, facing northeast, near the Ramnarong Gate. About two to three years ago, this temple underwent a magnificent restoration. The etchings on the glass windows are what distinguishes this temple. In the stain-glassed windows of the dome, not only Hindu deities like Shiva and Indra, but also fictional pop culture characters may be seen. Lilo and Stitch, Mickey Mouse, Doraemon, and even Darth Vader can be found etched into the glass.
It is also famous for its Buddhist hell garden. This is where Buddhists go when they have terrible karma, according to folklore. It appears to be a typical old-style temple from the outside, but inside and in the windows, you will find a magnificent blend of ancient and new motives educating you about good and evil, as well as how to live a decent life. They used a lot of modern references to instruct people, from Disney to Star Wars.

Belief: Paying homage to this great chedi is like paying homage to all three chedis at once, for auspiciousness.
